My experience with Wedecor for my October 2022 wedding was quite fraught - though, in the end, they delivered decor for the event. We were initially connected with Wedecor via our venue coordinator, as Wedcor was the affiliated decorator in 2021 when we began planning. My first email from Wedecor in Oct 2021 said something like 'we're dealing with 2021 weddings right now, email us in 2022'. This was already not starting off on the right foot. So, then, I reached out to Wedecor in the third week of January 2022 and was promptly responded to. Things sounded fine so we locked down a contract for month-of coordination and decor. If we went with another vendor, we would be charged an additional $500 so we felt it was a no-brainer to use Wedecor. However, things went south from there. We'd heard, at the venue's wedding showcase in March 2022, that Wedecor was no longer the affiliated decor provider for the NAC (our venue) as of January 2022 which Wedecor failed to mention when we were contracting with them in January. But we'd put a fairly significant deposit with Wedecor so we couldn't back out without a sizeable sunk cost. Then, as we tried to leverage Wedecor to design our invitations (which was included in our package), they essentially recreated a design from the 4-5 samples I provided to them which was 1) not original and 2) likely plagiarism. We decided to do invitations on our own, instead, because the price was more reasonable this way and we realized we weren't going to get a truly custom design, anyways.
Then, into late summer, I'd asked Wedecor what work we could pull ahead and do early because my now-husband and I both have very busy jobs in autumn. They were essentially unresponsive until I was asked to prepare my wedding day timeline for the venue - which was something Wedecor should have done - but they were not proactive in any reach-outs so I ended up doing it myself and then asking to remove the month-of coordination from my package because my husband and I were better off taking care of it ourselves.
Throughout the fall, I kept sharing updates to Wedecor with the names of our guests, meal choices, and seats so they could print the name cards, menus, and seating chart, and there was never a reply from them (Sept 24, and three times in October). Finally I sent them an email 8 days before my wedding demanding a response because I was starting to get nervous that they were not going to deliver for my wedding. This email got no response. Then my husband emails them 6 days before our wedding which they finally responded to and tried to assure us that everything was fine. Mind you, at this point, we had no assurance that flowers, stationery, chairs, etc. were going to be there for our wedding day. We finally heard from Wedecor on the Monday before our wedding (5 days) with apology from one individual (Maryke was excellent to us) and they assured us they would get to work on our wedding. This obviously wasn't what we wanted when we asked in the summer to pull as much work forward as we're busy people but we prioritized the reviews of the place cards and menus to ensure they could get printed as soon as possible. And good thing we did review because, the first iteration of the placecards was done based off of my Sept 24th seating chart and not the three subsequent versions I'd shared with them). In this back-and-forth, they attached someone else's wedding spreadsheet in trying to defensively state that they were, in fact, using the right spreadsheet to make the place cards. Thankfully, all turned out okay and we had the decor that we wanted for our day (aside from some of the flowers being quite dead-looking already and a backdrop arch that was falling apart. -

I used WEDecor for our August 12, 2022 wedding as they were the contracted vendor for the NAC. I am told they have now lost this contract as many other couples experienced what I did:
- over a month to respond to emails
- failure to deliver items I paid for on the day of
- multiple frantic emails and calls the week from them to discuss things we'd gone over countless times/ I had clearly paid for in my invoice
- rude, dismissive tone when trying to consult/ get my refund for items they didn't bring
- poor quality of florals/ received items that looked nothing like we were promised
I wrote a negative Google Review and was offered $1000 to remove it so I would take their 4.9 rating here and on Google with a grain of salt. WEDecor was the single most stressful part of my wedding. -

This is the most incredible florist and wedding décor team that you will ever have the privilege of working with! Michael and Nancy are such a dynamic duo who work so well together with you to ensure that your dream wedding vision comes to life. I wanted a fairly unique color scheme with my florals to match our fall décor, and Nancy had no issues whatsoever to make that happen, with flowers being imported from all over the world. Every single person at my wedding was absolutely floored by how stunning the florals and décor was, and they were grabbing centerpieces left and right by the end of the wedding to take home with them- that’s how much everyone loved and admired the décor. Both Michael and Nancy are extremely organized and able to keep on top of everything, including all of the minor details requested of them. Their location is so lovely, with tons of décor pieces available for rental, and I even got a behind the scenes sneak peek of my florals the day before. I can never thank this team enough for making my wedding vision come true, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. I know that florals can be a bit on the pricier side, but worth every single penny to anyone contemplating how much of them to get. I had florals as my backdrop behind the head table, on the head table, all the guest tables inside and outside, and all over my signage as well. Wedecor also helped to put together stunning white drapery along the high ceilings of my venue. Everything was just stunning. Thank you again Wedecor for everything you have done for us! -

It was truly a pleasure planning our August 2019 wedding with Michael and Nancy. We were impressed starting with our initial appointment, where within a mere 30 minutes we had decided on the ceremony and reception decorations with ease. Our invitations were also designed and printed by Wedecor, which turned out beautifully. Michael and Nancy acted as so much more than just our wedding decorators; they were also indispensable wedding planners who made the entire process of preparing for the big day straight forward, simple and stress-free. They facilitated correspondence with our other vendors, which relieved that responsibility from us and the bridal party. They were also there to offer kind reassurance that everything was under control which was priceless in the few days prior to the wedding. We absolutely loved the final high-quality, magical look of the ceremony and reception! Michael was present during our entire wedding day, from prep to ceremony to reception, always on top of things and making sure everything went smoothly. We both appreciated that so much! The value the Wedecor team brought to our event reached beyond the physical décor and floral arrangements, as the staff were always there to accommodate our desires. We cannot thank Wedecor enough and would highly recommend this professional company. -

Nancy was able to take all of our wishes and effortlessly turn them into reality. From gorgeous invitations, flowers and decor, you truly made this a stress free event. We could not be happier with her work, support and her guidance for our special day. It is because of this that wedding even won the 2016 Best Room Decor from the Ottawa Wedding Awards.

[Anonymous] Sent on 11/09/2015Nancy was great to work with leading up to the wedding, friendly, very responsive to emails and phone calls, very flexible with meetings- a stressed out bride's dream. Prices seemed reasonable for what was quoted, and quality of decorations seemed great.
The physical execution of details however left much to be desired. Head-table fabric looked great, but all decorations on the table were off-center, the backdrop behind the head-table was half the size that it was quoted to be (and full fee was charged), and the uplighting, quoted at one price, was almost double at delivery, and half the lights were not working most of the evening. Despite returning to the venue for rectification of the lighting issue during the reception, there was no follow through on other issues.
After over three months of phone calls, messages and emails, I have yet to receive a response from Nancy regarding addressing any issues. It would appear to me that one would try to maintain and satisfy current clients so that they would be repeat clients, instead, stonewalling appears to be the approach. -

She is like a one stop shop.
She did my bridal shower invitations and wedding invitations. Both invitations were perfect and extremely reasonably priced. She customized both of them for us so we ended up with a unique invitations that no one had had.
She will be doing our flowers as well. She is flexible and assisted us with lowering costs.
