She went above and beyond in terms of communication and I really felt like she understood my vision. The florals were exactly what I was hoping for. This was a much more affordable option for us, but it does involve quite a bit of work so make sure you have a group to help out. All in all it was 100% worth it and I would use them again!! -

Phenomenal!!
Alida was soooo easy to work with. She answered my billions of questions leading up to my wedding and also once I’d gotten the flowers and thought of new questions. I love the way my arrangements turned out and I have literally zero experience whatsoever. The tutorials were easy to follow too, even for a stressed out bride!! Haha thank you Lily on the Thames! -

When I learned of Lily on the Thames, I instantly got excited at having my wedding party being able to make their own bouquets/boutonnieres/corsages etc. ALL of my bridesmaids were absolutely stoked to see the gorgeous flower/greenery options to create their own personal bouquet. We all had a blast doing it and honestly, was a much needed stress-free fun activity we could do the night before our wedding. Only took us about an hour to do all the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and still had extra for a couple centerpieces. I had told Alida what colour schemes we had envisioned and she went above and beyond to be make it more than we could have ever imagined. Overall I would do this again in a heartbeat. Alida is amazing! Thank you so much for helping me save some money than going to a professional florist! Thank you!!!! -

Wow, this was such a great experience! So happy to have found Lily on the Thames to DIY my wedding flowers. By far one of the favorite parts of the run-up to our wedding day and a part I will always remember. Alida is such a sweetheart and was SO fast to respond to any questions or inquiries I had. I panic emailed Alida in the middle of the night after trimming all of the florals to hydrate the night we received them, absolutely convinced I had done everything wrong and ruined everything. She responded with the exact calming words I needed to hear for when I got up the next morning so I could get myself together (big coffee in hand!) to go and arrange everything with my friend-and-family army that day, feeling much more confident.
For my mid-November wedding, we went with the “custom color palette” for my florals. With that went a wishlist for specific blooms/greenery and a visual color palette I made (2 primary and 4 accent colors, with inspiration photos of some arrangements/bouquets) that I was envisioning. Alida took that color scheme & wishlist and made it a reality with spectacular bloom and greenery choices for our arrangement ingredients within the budget parameters of the package. We ordered a lot of flowers - a large package, urn decor and some extra baby’s breath but we wanted a LOT of arrangements! With that ordered, we made: 8 large centerpieces, 6 medium centerpieces, 24 smaller centerpieces, 2 big ceremony urns, 2 smaller ceremony urns, 1 bridal bouquet and 4 bridesmaid bouquets. With the "leftovers", we made a few corsages and a few boutonnières - nothing went to waste!
Her prep videos and resource recommendations were super helpful to reference in one convenient document for each step of the process; from hydrating the flowers to prepping the blooms for arranging, there was something there to watch and reference. When the flowers arrived, we were blown away by how well packaged everything was, all of the box contents was SO fresh and in SUCH good condition. Some more delicate blooms came looking a bit sad but the resources helped us not to worry - every single bloom perked up BEAUTIFULLY once they had time and space to hydrate. When it came time to arrange, the “recipes” provided for each of the types of arrangements (bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, centerpieces, etc.) was so unbelievably key for us to stay organized and consistent when we were putting everything together.
I certainly would highly recommend Lily on the Thames for anybody thinking of doing their own wedding flowers! -

Lily on the Thames is such a wonderful business. I have absolutely zero experience with flowers and basically can barely keep a house plant alive, but Alida walked me through everything, gave fantastic tutorials, answered my millions of questions and messages, and never made me feel bad for asking! She gave me the most beautiful flowers to work with and saved me a TON of money!! If you have a group of friends, it is actually pretty fun putting together all the bouquets and arrangements!! Definitely recommend Lily on the Thames for your floral needs!! -

If you're looking to save flowers costs for your wedding (but not sacrifice quality!), this is the way to do it! Alida was super responsive and her videos are crucial, taking you step by step how to create a gorgeous bouquet. Make sure you have help from your family and/or bridesmaids! The prep is time consuming but the reward is great! I'd absolutely work with Alida again and highly recommend her innovative business. -

This is a great idea for couples who are looking to save a little bit of money on flowers for their wedding! You do need quite a bit of time dedicated to put together all the arrangements (and some friends to help!) but we definitely saved a lot of money compared to a conventional florist. The flowers we received were extremely high quality (especially our roses) and we were receiving compliments all day. The biggest issue we had is because it was so hot on our wedding day, our flowers were wilting quite a bit and quite over bloomed. Overall, not a big issue and we had a great time putting the flowers together! -
