I had an excellent experience with Janie from start to finish. She is very communicative, thoughtful, and provides detailed responses and ideas along the way. We got multiple floral quotes and prices were reasonable for the level of service provided. I appreciated her detailed proposal with photos and inspiration. Her floral arrangements are a work of art, and she made sure the flowers held up in the cold and wind and still looked gorgeous inside for the reception. Janie made the floral columns and bouquet of my dreams. I'm so happy we found her and would choose her again in a heartbeat! Thanks for your beautiful work! -

Janie was amazing to work with! From our initial zoom call we knew we chose right. Just by showing her a few pictures of ideas that we had she created arrangements that fit us perfectly. The flowers themselves were so stunning and elegant, they really felt like something out of a fairytale. She is clearly passionate about what she does and will make your wedding day special. We highly recommend her. -

truly the BEST wedding flowers you'll ever lay your eyes on
We are so glad we had Janie as the florist for our wedding in Canmore. She worked with us to turn a half baked vision into a full blown masterpiece. The beautiful flowers absolutely stole the show and were universally admired by our attendees. So if you’re looking for a wedding florist in the Calgary area, congratulations because your search ends here - Janie is amazing and we can’t recommend her enough.

Janie was so incredible to work with and I highly recommend Flowers by Janie for your next special occasion. Every step of planning was so fun and exciting, and final floral masterpieces blew everyone away on the wedding day. Everything about Janie's flowers made my flower dreams come true.
In addition to the flowers themselves (which were just the BEST), there are so many things I loved about working with Janie. She recommends seasonal flowers and works with local farmers in the area to get super high quality, beautiful blooms. Janie was also mindful of our budget and able to guide us in selecting what made the most sense for our vision. Every centerpiece, bouquet, and arch were so beautifully crafted - it truly transformed the space into a magical place for us to celebrate our special day. I can't wait to look back on our photos and videos and remember our incredible weekend. Janie was such a big part of it and we couldn't be more grateful to have had her flowers!

Flowers by Janie is a fantasic choice for brides who want exceptional flowers. Janelle's choses each flower with a personal touch and the bouquets are made with love and a passion for flowers. Not only are her flower designs award winning they reflect timeless elegance and class. Our wedding them was traditional romantic garden and the flowers were perfect everyone loved them. All the flowers tied together beautifully. Designed with a touch of a beautiful English garden, with very special flowers brought in from South America and others from her backyard. The use of color and variety is incredible she can make anyone's dream flowers come to life. So lucky to have found this special wedding florist.Flowers by Janie's reply:

Creative & Imaginative
Janie's creativity, use of colour, texture and layering was everything I hoped for in our Florals. She listened to our vision, and was respectful of our budget. Janie was professional in offering suggestions to attain our vision while not breaking the bank on florals. Having had experience working with our venue in the past, she was able to provide us with insight and guidance on things to consider in decorating the space adequately. Having absolute trust in Janie, I knew the florals would be crafted with love and attention to detail, and one less thing I needed to worry about on our day. Throughout the year, she communicated regularly and at the right times, giving us further peace of mind. Throughout the evening and afterwards, we received numerous compliments on our florals. I would highly recommend Janie and her team for any event and will use her again. -

I think it's great advice when planning your wedding to choose the top 3 things that are most important to you, and plan/budget around those things. For us, it was having a great venue, a string quartet, and beautiful flowers. I would choose the same 3 things again, starting with Flowers by Janie. Even though I love flowers, I would not have imagined how these beautiful floral arrangements would elevate everyone's experience, both ours and our guests. I did not cry at my own wedding, but I did cry afterwards when I was thanking Janie for her amazing work. She used a fabulous array of types of flowers (ranunculus, peonies, roses, sweet peas, and so many more), and all sorts of bright spring/summer colours, and I have never seen more gorgeous arrangements even in a magazine. The photos just don't do them justice, as they also smelled amazing. I had flowers in my hair, on the wedding cake, in vintage vases at the reception...our guests are still talking about it. I am still talking about it! It's really true that Janie makes her arrangements with so much love, and you feel it. She is an award-winning florist and she deserves all the recognition. We feel so very privileged and blessed to have had Janie as our wedding florist. -

Janie has exceptional talent and knowledge with the ability to create magnificent art with flowers. She is incredibly dedicated to her clients and her ability to understand their needs is deserved of recognition. My flower dream was truly brought to reality.
Janie was able to aquire everything I wanted and more. She brought Tokyo to Calgary and sourced Japanese bred roses in the most beautiful colours. I went from being a bride who knew nothing to understanding where flowers come from and how florists work with farms. I was proud to share the knowledge with my guests.
Working with Janie was an experience I will ever forget.
My guests were blown away by her incredibly beautiful work, the smell of the fresh flowers was unbelievable and most of my guests are still talking about it!
Janie and her team gave their all the ensure my happiness and my vision would not have happened without them.

Well worth it
I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Flowers by Janie for our wedding. I have long admired Janie’s work from afar on Instagram, and when it came time to get married I knew I wanted her to do our flowers. We debated whether real flowers were in our budget or not, but I am so so happy we decided to do it. I was in awe when the flowers arrived in the morning, and I couldn’t stop staring at them all day - they were so beautiful! Janie was so helpful along the way, developing a budget with us that we were comfortable with, making recommendations where needed, and turning all my wishes into a reality. She couldn’t have matched the flowers to my vision any closer. I did not know really anything about florals, but somehow Janie seemed to read my mind on exactly what I would like. She went the extra miles in so many ways, like matching a blue velvet wrap on my bouquet to my bridesmaids dresses, sending over flat lay pieces for the photographer in the morning, and making sure all my ceremony pieces were perfectly repurposed at my reception. We had a winter wedding in the mountains and I got exactly what I dreamed of and more - wintery, timeless, unique flowers. -
