Our wedding was in November 2024. Our initial officiant had not worked out and we needed one as soon as possible one month before the wedding -- Hollie came in and saved the day! She was able to make our wedding signing of the documents so heartfelt and moving with our closest family and friends surrounding us! She was easy to communicate with via e-mail with and double checked our documents before we signed to ensure the day would go on without a hitch. Thank you Hollie! -

We had an amazing experience with Hollie as our efficient! She spoke in both English and Chinese and incorporated humor (like we had asked). She was a joy to work with and was always so attentive and communicative. We cannot recommend her enough! -

Hollie was the perfect officiant and MC for our wedding! She was so helpful from the very beginning; from providing multiple wonderful vendor recommendations, to walking us through the marriage certificate process, to periodic check ins to make sure we were on track for the wedding process, and keeping us and our guests hyped up for the entire wedding! She also provided full and seamless cantonese translations for my family members. Overall, we wanted to keep our wedding light and fun, and she delivered just that! She created the cutest and most personalized officiant speech for us, which we appreciated so much! She also came early to scope out all the items we had prepared for the wedding (ie. menus, food vouchers, thank you notes, wedding card box, etc.), and made sure she announced everything to our guests in English and Cantonese, so that everyone was clear and informed. She continuously made our guests smile and laugh! Our guests kept raving about the amazing job she was doing! Above it all, she is so friendly, funny, talented and kind! I had a small wedding planned - around 33 people. I thought getting an emcee would be a waste of money. Oh boy, was I wrong! Hollie was not only a fantastic emcee, but she was a dream wedding officiant!
She told our love story as if she were a good friend of ours as if she truly knew us. I'm pretty sure my dad thought she was a friend because he kept telling me how good her Cantonese is!
From the first meeting with Hollie, I felt we hit it off. She was so genuine. I was upfront in that she was my second choice at the time, as I initially sought a Toisan speaking emcee as my mother's side of the family knows Hoisan+Hoiping. When she encouraged me to go with that emcee, as she knew how much it meant to me, I knew she was a fantastic person. Although we had already hired an officiant (came with the venue), I decided we must have Hollie as our officiant as well. I'm so glad we did!
My fiance's (now husband's) family and my father's side of the family are Hong Kong immigrants. Many of them cannot speak English, or understand English that well. Leveraging Hollie to make my family feel included, wow, my family was so happy. My auntie kept telling me how happy she was - it was as if it was the best day of HER life.
Lastly, I wanted to add that Hollie could achieve all of this with a minimal amount of time to work with. We hired her on the second week of October, when our wedding was October 29! Yet, she still pulled off such a fantastic job.
Investing in Hollie was easily one of the BEST investments I made for my wedding. I would not hestitate to recommend or hire her again. She is so amazingly professional, and she truly helped our wedding feel perfect!!!!!
