So unlike all the other shops that are so fake and begging for your business, Fern and her team are genuine and helpful beyond measure and being in a charming old character house made it feel even that much more special. I loved my dress and the cost of alterations and accessories were very reasonable. I am so thrilled I bought there. -

The woman who owns this shop is an absolute nightmare. Not only did she double book my friend multiple times (who had to drive 2+ hours to get to the shop) SHE COMPLETELY RUINED HER WEDDING DRESS 2 WEEKS BEFORE HER WEDDING. She used a sewing machine for alterations that had just been serviced and got BLACK OIL ALL OVER HER DRESS. After dry cleaning it, she said it was fine but there were very obvious marks all over her dress still. She then suggested PUTTING IT IN A WASHING MACHINE. Are you kidding me?! She was extremely unaccommodating and unapologetic about her massive fuck up. Whatever you do, DO NOT visit this store. -

Couldn't have asked for more!
My experience with The Bride’s Closet Started with a photo online of a dress I just had to have. When I found out that the Bride’s Closet carried the designer’s collection I was over the moon, especially knowing that the store was in my town! I quickly sent a Facebook message asking if they carried the Fellini dress style Y21656. Got a response in a matter of hours saying they have the dress and even in my size. I made and appointment for a few weeks later when my mum was in town and did try on a lot of dresses as well as the dress I was there to see. Fern was so helpful and amazing putting me in many dresses and styles for my family and friends even though her and I both knew the first one I came in for was the one! Everything from Alterations Bridesmaid skirts cleaning and many wedding conversations has been amazing and made my day have one less thing to worry about. I highly recommend The Bride’s Closet to any new bride and I know I will still be using Fern and her team for future dress alterations in my future. Photo Credit to Tasha Cline Photography -

These guys were great and were very patient when it took me forever to make up my mind. The alterations to my dress were perfect and the location was convienuent. No pressure to buy great natural lighting in the store. -

I am so glad I made the ferry trip to visit The Bride's Closet. Fern is so friendly and accommodating, and her husband was so kind in picking my sister and I up from the ferry so we could just walk on and had chauffeur service to and from the shop! Fern has a beautiful selection of dresses (lots of boho-style ones too!) that are detailed and high-quality while still being absolutely affordable. A gem of a store. If you're on the mainland and debating whether or not to make the trip over there do it! -

Jamie Sent on 23/07/2017Fern and all the ladies at the Bride's Closet were amazing. I had an amazing dress shopping experience here. I must have tried on a dozen dresses and they were patient and kept bringing me new ones in different styles.
One hugely amazing thing here was they only brought me dresses that were in my budget! I went to a few other stores that didn't keep this in mind and brought me dresses that were like twice my budget.
The house they are in is a little heritage building and has the best atmosphere for dress shopping. They are a small business and really personalize the shopping experience.
They do all their fittings in house and I ended up going in for several fittings as I lost a lot of weight between buying the dress and the wedding. In the end it fit perfectly.
It was really nice shopping with them and I would 100% recommend them to anyone! -
