Working with Amanda was an unforgettable experience. She is so talented. She started with a hand sketch keepsake of the vision for the dress, sourced the exact fabric I wanted (and a few other great options), then I got to see the dress come together each step of the way. To say the dress was perfect is an understatement. Amanda exceeded all of my expectations and was lovely to work with along the way. Many of our guests were in awe of the dress - saying how uniquely beautiful it is. I can't thank Amanda enough for her hard work and creating such a beautiful dress. -

Amber Sent on 25/09/2025Getting my wedding dress custom made by Amanda Garrett was the best decision i made for my wedding
After trying on multiple dresses, trying to find “the one”, I liked some elements of one dress and some elements of another. I decided I wanted to design my own dress. So I went on a mission and found Amanda.
From the beginning of the process Amanda was so sweet and accommodating. We worked together to build my dress. Amanda always checked in through the whole process and it was very hands on start to finish.
The sense of pride I felt when I saw the vision in my head, to a sketch, to a full wedding dress was unmatched. It felt so special being able to tell people that I designed my wedding dress. I showed Amanda what my vision was and we worked together to make it come true.
There’s also something so special about having a piece of clothing built for you and your body. I felt so comfortable working with Amanda through the entire process and I feel like we became very close over the entirety of my dresses journey.
Amanda listened to what I wanted, made the adjustments and ultimately made me feel so beautiful, comfortable and confident on my big day. (Not to mention doing a last minute alteration for one of my bridesmaids).
I am forever grateful for the time I spent with Amanda and the journey we took together building my dress. ❤️ -

I found Amanda on Bark. She was a bit far for me (in Mississauga when I am in Toronto) so I emailed her to ask some questions about the dress I needed altered - I was weeks away from my wedding and my custom ordered dress did not fit! She replied to my email quickly, and assured whatever was needed was possible, even in the tight time frame.
I had a first, second and final fitting with Amanda. She was flexible with timings, helpful, kind and personable. She truly understands the bridal experience and wants her brides to feel comfortable and at ease about their dress, as well as beautiful!
I cannot recommend Amanda enough! She was able to alter my dress beautifully with only a few weeks to the day.

Amanda is so talented, I came to her with my mother's wedding dress from 1978, and she was able to make a few adjustments to make it the perfect vintage look. My grandmother made the dress for my mom by hand and she preserved everything I loved about it but also gave me a more updated look overall. -

The best experience and service for my wedding dress!
I found Amanda online and instantly knew I could trust her with my wedding dress. It was like connecting with an old friend. She was so attentive and listened to exactly what I wanted. We had shortened my dress and added cap sleeves which she sourced and matched the lace herself. She also worked on my reception gown and added fabric to the bodice so it wasn't see-through. Additionally, she also provides alterations for men's suits! She made adjustments to my husband's wedding suit so it fit perfectly. Overall I had such a great experience and would definitely recommend Amanda if you need any sort of alterations. -

My wedding dress came in a couple of sizes too big and looked like a sac. I was extremely nervous as my wedding was a month away. Amanda's professionalism, knowledge and calm demeanor put my nerves to rest immediately. Her attention to detail and skillset are impeccable. Would absolutely recommend her services. -
