Mat and his team are amazing and made our wedding day everything we could of hoped for. Mat is super quick in all his communication (he was the quickest responder out of all of our vendors) and was always there to answer any little question in the planning stages.
We were not sure if we needed a DJ or could get away with just a well curated playlist and we are so glad we decided to book a DJ.
On the day, Josh was our DJ and he was great. He was aware of all the speech / dance queues and helped keep things on track.
When it started raining and the dance floor had to suddenly shift from outside to inside, Josh and our coordinator took care of everything swiftly and it did not impact the flow of the party at all.
He kept the dancefloor packed, took lots of unique song requests from our guests and brought lots of lights to make it such fun atmosphere. We highly recommend Mat and his team for any event needs - your guests will love them! -

Mat DJ'd our wedding ceremony and reception and did an amazing job. He had excellent communication leading up to our wedding day, he was punctual on the day of and overall was so easy to work with, very professional and organized. Beyond his professionalism, Mat was genuinely kind and we enjoyed chatting and working with him. He played every song that we requested, and read the crowd really well, keeping the dance floor bumping all night. Our guests had an incredible time, and Mat truly brought the party to life. We highly recommend him! -

It was great having DJ Vanstone (Mat) and Zapped Productions as our wedding DJ! The dance floor was always on and our ceremony songs and first dance went smoothly! It's not easy choosing a wedding DJ that fits your vibe, plays good music, mixes well and reads the crowd, but Mat was awesome on all accounts! -

"Where do we even begin to praise our wedding DJ? From start to finish, he was an absolute superstar and played an integral role in making our special day everything we dreamed of and more.
Right from the get-go, their communication was a breeze. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but he made the music and MC aspects completely seamless and stress-free. He truly listened to our vision and worked diligently within our budget, which we greatly appreciated.
On the day itself, they were simply phenomenal. They expertly handled all microphone duties for our ceremony, ensuring every word was heard clearly and beautifully. Then, they transitioned seamlessly into our 2.5-hour cocktail hour, setting the perfect relaxed yet celebratory mood.
But the reception? That's where he truly shined all thanks to his incredible talent for reading the room. Mat knew exactly what tracks would keep the energy high and the fun flowing. It was an absolute blast, and so many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music. Beyond the tunes, they also took on the crucial role of venue MC, keeping our timeline on track with professionalism and just the right amount of charisma.

As a planner, a breath of fresh air
Working with Mat from Zapped Productions is always a pleasure. As a wedding planner, I’ve seen my fair share of DJs—and unfortunately, many of them just phone it in. That is never the case with Mat. He brings a high level of professionalism, friendliness, and respect to every event—for both clients and fellow vendors—which makes him an absolute gem to have on any wedding team.
Mat is incredibly flexible and easy to collaborate with, which is such a gift on event days where timelines shift and last-minute changes happen. He stays fully present and engaged all night long, never disappearing from behind the decks or letting the energy drop. His attentiveness to the crowd and the couple’s vibe ensures the dance floor stays alive from the first song to the last call.
If you're looking for a DJ who actually cares about your wedding and shows up with intention, energy, and talent—Zapped Productions is it. Highly recommend!

Mat did an amazing job with our wedding. He was super communicative and friendly from the time we first spoke until the day of the event. He was very accommodating of our requests as well as the requests of guests and did an excellent job reading the room and keeping the energy up all night. Many of our guests told us they loved the music and were super happy with Mat's DJing. We would happily recommend Mat and Zapped to anyone who needed DJing service for their wedding or other events! -

I don’t even know where to begin, I don’t think there are enough words to describe how grateful my husband and I are to Mat for absolutely KILLING IT at our wedding. We have been to other weddings where Mat has DJ’d and he’s so just simply talented. Every wedding we have seen him perform at has been a blast. Our dance floor was bumping all night long. We have also had the privilege to see Mat perform at major clubs in downtown Vancouver and do a phenomenal job. We are so grateful for all that Mat has done. If you are looking for a DJ look no further hiring Mat will he hands down one of the best decisions you can make. -

The Best Wedding DJ Ever!
We cannot recommend Zapped Productions Event DJ's enough! Mat was the DJ for our wedding, and he did an incredible job. He really helped set the tone for the entire night and had us singing and dancing all night long. Mat is a true professional and was so easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the music was and how much fun they had dancing. Mat truly helped make our wedding a night to remember.
