We had Jan from Captiv Sounds as our DJ for our wedding on September 25th, 2025, and we couldn’t have been happier with his services. From start to finish, Jan was incredibly professional and easy to work with. He reached out a few months before the big day to go over details and then followed up closer to the date to make sure everything was perfect.
His pricing was very competitive, and his friendly personality made the whole process enjoyable. The music was exactly what we wanted, and he even handled a few last-minute changes on the fly without any issue. Our guests had a great time, and the dance floor was full all night!
We would absolutely recommend Jan and Captiv Sounds to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and personable DJ. -

Jan was so incredible! From the beginning of working with him to the very end he was attentive, flexible, organized and always made sure we knew his primary goal was to help make our day exactly what we hoped for! He was extremely easy going about our music preferences and we felt so relaxed going into our wedding knowing he had everything under control. Thanks to Jan everything flowed so smoothly, and our primary hope - which was a bumping dance floor - was very much achieved! Everyone was raving about his DJ skills! We will always be grateful to have chosen a great person like him! -

Jan was an excellent DJ. He was very responsive and flexible. He was able to accommodate our requests. Throughout the whole event, I didn't have to worry about the music because I knew it was in good hands. It was a great party and the dance floor always had a lot of people on it. Would highly recommend Captiv Sounds. -

We had been to several events with Jan DJing (where my time in particular was spent mostly on the dance floor) and knew he would be a great choice for our day. We weren’t sure if dancing would be allowed, but knew we would be in great hands with Jan managing our ceremony sound, and background music during our short cocktail style reception. We appreciated Jan’s planning process, which kept us on track, ensuring we had chosen music in plenty of time. He also had great suggestions for songs for each element of the day when we would come up drawing blanks. He was happy to go ahead with our somewhat unorthodox dinner music choices and created the exact vibe we were going for – laid back drinks on a patio sort of atmosphere. He was able to source a first dance cover song that we could only find on YouTube, and it sounded great on the night of. We also appreciated his emceeing skills, which was great as it alleviated any of our guests from having to take on that potentially stressful role. It turned out we could dance, and Jan did a great job as expected. It was the perfect evening. Thank you Jan!
