A huge thank you to By Request Entertainment for an excellent experience! Blake was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and professional throughout the entire planning process. By Request is a preferred vendor with our wedding venue, and it shows. Blake's knowledge of the venue was incredibly useful during planning and right from our initial call he gave us some great tips on how to improve the flow of our event based on his experience with our wedding venue. Derek handled our ceremony and reception music beautifully and did a fantastic job of reading the crowd to keep us dancing right until last call. We highly recommend booking By Request Entertainment for your next event or wedding! Thank you again to Blake and Derek for helping to make our dream day a reality! -

Blake did a phenomenal job with both my stag and doe and wedding! Since we were already married get got him to stand up as our ‘officiant’ and also was the emcee for the night. He helped with planning and with a few curveballs, he still did amazing! Thank you Blake! And team! -

Blake was so great to work with, helping us on a tight timeline and he listened to all of our wants/needs. He worked with us to help make the flow of our wedding as smooth as possible, and he was so professional and friendly. Our DJ Derek was awesome, he played great music and really knew how to work the crowd. He made sure both guests and my husband and I were happy with the music choices, and he had some really cool transitions between songs. I couldn’t stop dancing and it really helped cap off a perfect day. Would definitely recommend By Request Entertainment for any event! -

We were referred to By Request Entertainment by our wedding photographer after postponing by a year due to COVID-19. Talking to the owner of the company Blake put me immediately at ease surrounding pandemic related issues, and then at ease about working with a person who understood the mood for the day. A brunch wedding where a quarter of the guests were children was perhaps an unconventional ask, but the company was excited to work with us on it. Blake worked with us every step of the way though multiple conversations to get everything set up exactly as we wanted.
The day of the wedding we worked with Derek. The music for the ceremony went flawlessly. At the reception he helped to run both speeches and a slideshow. The most admirable thing was creating a dancing environment that went from catering to the kids to the millenials and then to the older folks and back.
Then when the afternoon began to slow, and guests started to leave, he replayed songs from key moments in the day: the processional and recessional, our signing song, our reception entrance song, and it was so meaningful to hear those again as the day came to an end.
The company was wonderful to work with, from start to finish! Thank you By Request Entertainment! -

Where do we even begin with Blake ? How much fun he was ? How professional he was? How easy going he was ? How much stress he alleviated for us ? If you are looking for a DJ that is incredibly hands on and helpful from day 1, look no further! Blake was more than we could have hoped for as a DJ and MC and streamlined everything absolutely perfectly. He had the crowd going and was super engaged with everybody at our wedding and incredibly attentive to people’s requests (and ours). We originally had planned to be married in Hamilton and then COVID hit, and he was super accommodating in postponing and even joining us 6 hours away in Petawawa. He is truly a wonderful person who both my husband and I hope to keep in our lives as a friend. All of our guests loved him and said he was by far the best DJ they had ever seen. We have been told that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to, and we feel as though we owe a great amount of that to Blake. So THANK YOU for making our day that much more special and memorable for us. THANK YOU for being so on the ball with ensuring timings were met as some other people who should have been weren’t. You truly are a professional who we could count on to ensure things ran smoothly, but also made sure everybody was having the best time.
