  Words cannot describe

  Words cannot describe how amazing Ken was for our wedding. He was by far the best DJ I have ever experienced at a wedding. He gets your guests interacting and moving within minutes of being in the room. His ability to play live with his guitar or harmonica opened up so much potential for our wedding and what he could do. We are huge fans of disney, harry potter, stars wars, DnD, zelda, lord of the rings etc. and the music he played for cocktail and dinner was perfectly geared towards our interests. After most of our guests had left the bridal party decide to break out some board games to play and instead of leaving after we offered to him he could, he stayed until his time was up and played music in the background for us to enjoy while we played and interacted with us. Thank you so much for making our day as special as possible.

  Amazing DJ & MC!!

  Ken completely outdid himself for our wedding! He was everything we imagined in a DJ/MC and more!! We were so happy with how easy he was to work with and how informative he was. He knows how to read a crowd and great at getting the party started! He's a very talented singer, guitarist and surprised us by playing the harmonica which was a definite crowd pleaser. Most of our guests pulled us aside to ask us where we found him because he impressed everyone! Thanks again Ken for all of your hard work, you truly are amazing and you made our day much more special! I HIGHLY recommend hiring Ken to be at your next big event!!

  Amazing - the best

  Ken was absolutely amazing at our wedding and I’m so glad we hired him as our DJ. Ken’s live music for our ceremony was beautiful, he helped MC throughout the event and his skills as a DJ made the evening a blast. He geared the music perfectly to the crowd and kept them dancing the ENTIRE night. He was great with correspondence before the wedding and organizing the details. Ken really helped make the evening absolutely perfect. I can’t say enough great things about Ken’s DJ services, I would highly recommend!

  Phenomenal!!

  Ken was amazing from the moment we meet him until the end of the wedding day! He made hiring a DJ one of the easiest things about the wedding. He was very laid back but I also had every confidence that he was on top of everything. We had so many guests comment on his singing throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour and what a fantastic job he did. We were so confident in Ken that we had no second guesses about asking him to MC the evening as well. He MADE the evening the success it was. And what a party!!! Thanks Ken!

  Professional and accommodating!

  DJ ken was phenomenal! He took time out of his day to meet with us prior and made sure he offered more options in order to make our day special. He is truly a well rounded DJ/MC/musician! We highly recommend him!

  Goes above and beyond your expectations!

  Ken was the DJ for our wedding on July 30th, 2022. He was fantastic at getting everyone out on to the floor dancing! He even sang a few songs and played the harmonica. If I had to book someone again I would definitely book him.

  Absolutely fantastic artist

  Ken was beyond fantastic. His instrumental pieces and vocal parts during our ceremony were so beautiful, and his choice in music to play over the course of the reception was great. He was so easy to work with and accommodating to our requests. I could not have found a better DJ for our wedding. Thank you so much Ken!

  We danced ALL night!

  Ken is awesome! From the ceremony music to dinner and into our reception the music was great and set the tone for each stage of our big day. We danced ALL night, to so many different genres, with songs for every age group. No one was wearing shoes by the end of it, we enjoyed our time on the dance floor that much. Would highly recommend you book Big Event. Thank you Ken for making our day so special!

  Exceptional DJ

  We hired DJ Ken Lindsay at Big Event Entertainment for an outdoor wedding/reception in August 2021. When we first contacted DJ Ken, he was quick to respond and provided a detailed background of his experience, services, pricing, and availability. It was refreshing to learn that DJ Ken's pricing was an all-inclusive, flat rate for the entire day since many of the other DJs we had contacted in our search used tier-based pricing models which can be difficult to work with if the fine details of the event have yet to be decided and a budget needs to be nailed-down as early as possible.
  
  In the months leading up to our wedding, we emailed DJ Ken an abundance of questions as we continued to plan the day and learned new information from our visits to the wedding venue. Ken was quick to answer, provided suggestions, and always let us know we were welcome to contact him over the phone if needed. Well in advance of our event, DJ Ken supplied us with his "Wedding Information Form" document which was used to gather information about the wedding, including speech and dance schedules, do/do not play lists, and if we needed him to perform any MC duties throughout the night. We found the form to be such a helpful planning tool that it became the official schedule for the evening that we continually referenced and circulated when working with our other vendors and MC. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, DJ Ken offered an in-person meeting at the location of our choice so we could discuss the information form, any remaining questions, and get to know him. In advance of the event, Ken also performed a site visit to our wedding venue and met with the owner to discuss setup and to ensure the planning we had discussed would be successful. In addition, our MC asked to speak with Ken over the phone regarding amplification which Ken was more than happy to do.
  
  On the day of the event, Ken had setup his equipment as discussed and the appearance was tasteful and professional. Ken coordinated with the other vendors on-site who had overlapping roles in various parts of the evening, including our MC, to ensure everything would run smoothly. When we were hit with a brief downpour minutes before the ceremony began, Ken immediately provided a solution to ensure the musicians for the ceremony would be able to keep their instruments dry if the rain returned. The dinner and reception went smoothly as Ken provided background music and amplification for our MC and other speakers.
  
  To say the dancing phase of the evening was a success would be an understatement - Ken delivered a phenomenal experience with an excellent music selection that kept our do/do not play lists in mind. Throughout the night, Ken read the crowed perfectly, and as a result had our guests dancing straight through to the end of the evening. We had numerous compliments from family, the wedding party, and guests, young and old, as to the quality of the music selection. Several commented they had never been to a wedding with such an excellent selection before and couldn't resist staying on the dance floor. Ken was open to requests from our guests throughout the night, and most importantly was aware of which requests would not be a good fit, which we discussed with Ken during our in-person meeting.
  
  Overall, DJ Ken Lindsay at Big Event Entertainment is an exceptional DJ. You will not be disappointed if you select him for your event, particularly if you are like my wife and I who didn't have a wedding planner so relied heavily on effective communication from our vendors. We highly recommend Ken and cannot thank him enough for the work he put into making our wedding memorable.
