Lina H. Sent on 05/08/2025Disappointing Experience with Pearl Decor Ottawa – Wish We Had Chosen Another Vendor
We had three decorators in mind for our wedding, and after meeting with all of them, we chose Racha from Pearl Decor Ottawa. The other two decorators – All In One Events and Yara from More Lyfe Designs – were outstanding in terms of communication and customer service. The only reason we went with Pearl Decor was because they had a specific backdrop the bride absolutely loved and we couldn’t find it elsewhere.
From the beginning, communication with Racha was difficult. She canceled our first few appointments, and when we finally had a meeting scheduled, she didn’t even show up. Instead, she sent someone else who clearly had no idea what they were doing. Every time we tried to call or text her, we got no response. Despite these red flags, we signed the contract because the bride was set on that one backdrop. It was a risky decision, and unfortunately, it did not pay off.
Two days before the wedding, we asked when her team would be decorating. She said the day before the wedding and promised to let us know — but never did. Instead, we found out from the venue that her team had already come and gone. When we arrived, we were shocked by the setup.
The tables were poorly decorated, centerpieces were incomplete — missing candles and crystals — and the iconic backdrop was stained, dusty, and visibly worn out. Even the bride’s lounge seating was dirty and stained. The restaurant staff actually helped us clean it before the wedding started. Racha never visited the venue in person, relying on us to take measurements and pictures for her, which is unacceptable for a professional decorator.
On top of everything, they require full payment two weeks in advance, and we paid close to $4,000 — which was absolutely not worth the service or the final result.
I truly regret not going with one of the other two decorators. This experience was deeply disappointing, especially for such an important day. -

Best Decor Company by far!
I can't even decide where to begin. I have hired the PD team for every one of my special events after the first time I used their services, because I was blown away. They are super professional, timely in responding to emails, offer extremely high value for what you're paying, will always go the extra mile and literally will floor you with the final design! As both a client and a vendor (we have had mutual clients, I even attached some photos below!) - I am always in awe of the design set up done for the brides they service. Their work is high quality, they also pay attention to detail (ironed tablecloths!) and their inventory is so unique. The team puts 1000% into any project they do, and they have such vision for creative design. The floral work they do is also stunning, with quality flowers that last! Absolutely hire Pearl Decor, you will not regret it! -

Angela Sent on 11/07/2017100% you need to hire Rasha and her team. “Just make it pretty.” Literally what I told Rasha on our first meeting. “Just make it pretty.” I don’t have a design bone in my body. My husband picked out rough colour scheme, my MOH, who lives in England, skyped into a design session (And then later we had a meeting with her) made most of the choices. I pretty much gave Rasha full design and wow did she make it awesome! My wedding looked amazing, and everyone loved the décor (I had to stop a relative or two from making off with the lanterns!). Even when we realized at the last minute that we had one more table than planned she whipped up an amazing change within minutes. You only want to hire the best for you wedding and I whole heartily recommend Rasha and her team! -
