We are sooooo happy with the stunning cake Brent created for our wedding! From the very first tasting, we knew we were in good hands—the flavours were absolutely delicious, and we loved being able to sample them ahead of time to find the perfect match.
Brent followed every note and direction we gave, including some very specific instructions, and executed them flawlessly. The cake looked amazing—elegant, polished, and exactly in line with the colour palette we provided. It was a true showstopper.
Beyond the cake itself, Brent was an absolute pleasure to work with. He’s easygoing, super helpful, and made the whole process feel effortless. You can tell he genuinely cares about his craft and his clients.
Now, a little confession: we ordered a cake to serve 50 guests, thinking we’d have leftovers from our 35-person wedding. Turns out… we should’ve ordered more! It was such a hit, people were going back for seconds. The only “issue” we had was that the cake was giving me (the bride) some serious competition for who looked more beautiful—it’s hard to share the spotlight with something that tastes and looks that good!
We truly recommend Brent Mitchel to anyone looking for a cake that’s as delightful as the person/team who made it. Thank you for being part of our special day! -

We ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from Mitchell's Cakes and were very happy with the experience! The cupcakes were a big hit with our guests, and the cake itself was absolutely delicious—definitely a 10/10 for taste. The cost was also reasonable for what we ordered.
There were just a couple of small areas for improvement. I picked up the cake stand ahead of time, and while the cake and cupcakes were delivered on the day of, the stand was made of plain cardboard, which didn’t match the elegance we envisioned. We decorated it ourselves, but it looked more like a grade school art project. I would have gladly paid for a rental glass stand to elevate the presentation.
Overall, we highly recommend Mitchell's Cakes for anyone looking for delicious, well-priced desserts. A little more attention to presentation would take the experience to the next level! -

I've ordered several cakes from Mitchel's in the past for big life events so getting our wedding cake from them was no different. We ended up choosing a 3 tier for our main wedding cake with maple (5") , lemon with raspberry filling (8") and marble cake (12") and carrot cake without nuts (8") and cream cheese frosting for the grooms cake.
We asked for a cake large enough to serve approximately 100 guests and it was the perfect amount. Our venue did slice our cake and they were larger than a typical cake serving slice as well! The cake was absolutely delicious, great flavour and crumb to the cake especially the maple and carrot cake!
There was great communication with Brent and was prompt to answer any of my questions I had throughout the process. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious buttercream cake!Mitchel's Cake & Dessert Co.'s reply:

Our cake by Mitchel's Cake and Dessert Company was delicious and beautiful! We received many compliments from our guests about how the cake looked and tasted fantastic. Also, we loved that we had the option to choose two different flavours for our wedding cake, which worked out perfectly since my husband and I had two different favourite flavours when we went to our tasting. The whole process of choosing a design and ordering a cake was effortless, as Mitchel’s Cake and Dessert Company handled everything from start to finish. They delivered the cake to our venue and set it up as well. We didn’t have to lift a finger! I highly recommend going with Mitchel’s Cake and Dessert Company!Mitchel's Cake & Dessert Co.'s reply:
