The staff were so mazing to work with and Estelle was amazing so helpful the entire planning process and made our dream day possible! Highly recommend as our guests also had the best time and the food was amazing! -

I have high expectations and our assigned zoo Venus coordinator Estelle, the catering lead Yulia and their teams and the venue in general consistently exceeded my expectations at every turn. In the year of planning, Estelle answered hundreds of questions with fast and clear email responses. She was always available by phone as well. When she was away, she had colleagues covered and it was as if she wasn’t gone at all. She accommodated my schedule for walk throughs. They were extremely flexible with planning and when we had a major last minute change (necessitated by a family emergency) they were accommodating in ways I never would have expected from any venue. And that’s all just before the wedding day. On the day of, my guests absolutely raved about the quality of the venue and particularly the food. I was worried that any plated meal may not be enough food for the most hungry guests but in reality we all could barely finish our meals, the portions were excellent, but we tried because it was some of the best quality food I’d ever eaten. I’ll try to convince my friends to get married here just so I can have the tomato bisque and chicken supreme again! (In addition to all these other reasons). The catering lead was amazing and worked extremely well with my day of coordinator, and as the bride I was not bothered with little issues, they just addressed them in an appropriate manner. The guests also loved being able to see the animals between the ceremony and reception. The day was absolutely magical and the venue played a huge role in that. You can save a bit of money with simple decorations because both the ceremony site and Safari Lodge are so beautiful they needed minimal enhancement to feel enchanted. I suggest getting passed hors d'oeuvres, they are a minor added cost but it really elevated the experience and my guests raved about them. I could go on forever. Highly highly highly recommended. -

We got married at the Calgary Zoo and it was absolutely perfect! Loree, our coordinator, was amazing calm, organized, and so helpful every step of the way. The venue was stunning, and even with a last-minute weather change, everything still looked beautiful. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about the food and said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We’re so grateful to the whole team for making our day unforgettable! -

The zoo staff from the coordinators to the servers were amazing, professional and made sure that thr way was everything we envisioned.
They were super flexible and very helpful when something went a little sideways. It was a beautiful venue and made the day extremely special. -

This was our DREAM venue! There was not a single thing they could have done differently. From the ceremony to the photos, cocktail hour & reception, everything went perfectly. The food was phenomenal & we could have eaten the prime rib all night. We ran out of the gyoza during cocktail hour since they were such a big hit! Our guests keep raving that they enjoyed being able to roam the zoo while we took photos instead of trying to find a way to entertain themselves. BONUS POINTS: Their pricing was highly competitive & blew all other venues out of the water! -

I'm absolutely thrilled that we opted for our wedding at the Calgary Zoo. An outdoor wedding was a dream for me, but I didn't want to overspend. The Calgary Zoo offers incredible wedding packages catering to various guest group sizes, and we chose the outdoor garden for the ceremony and the Enmax Conservatory for the reception. Estelle, the wedding coordinator, was an absolute gem. I didn't have a wedding planner or even bridesmaids, which made me anxious about the event, but Estelle and the zoo staff were outstanding in managing everything. Thanks to their expertise, I had a stress-free, truly amazing wedding day that will be cherished for a lifetime.
The venue itself is breathtaking. If you've been to the Calgary Zoo, you already know how beautiful the place is, so no need for much explanation there. But let me talk about the food! Oh my goodness, the food was incredible! I did a trial at the Safari Grill before the wedding, and honestly, the brunch there was just okay. So, I was a bit concerned. However, the food served at our reception was exceptional. Our guests, friends, and family raved about it, everyone saying how amazing the food was.
I'm very happy about choosing the Calgary Zoo. The venue was stunning, the pricing was well within our budget, the wedding package made my planning phase less stressful, and the staff were friendly and professional. Everyone, including us, had an absolutely fantastic time. -

We had our wedding this summer at the Enmax Conservatory, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. Loree was so helpful with assisting us in the planning of our special day and ensured all of our requests were taken care of with no worries. Greg was our head caterer and ensured our reception was smooth, efficient, and kept everyone happy and having a great time. The venue is absolutely stunning, and all of our guests had so much fun exploring the beautiful sights of the gardens. -
