I got married at Newlands just last weekend and I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to the entire team there for making our experience of getting married so effortless and stress free. From our amazing coordinator, Jessalyn, to our incredibly talented decorator, Lisa, the Newlands team really made every part of the process easy for us.

I wasn't even in the country when we picked Newlands as our venue and seeing how they were so accommodating and willing to explain the logistics, the timeline, and the transparency in costs, honestly made it a clear winner for us. We really loved the flexibility in how much we got to be involved in the creative process. On top of getting a full meeting with the decor team, each step of the way was met with a professional who was ready to take on any part of our wedding with excitement and care.

We couldn't be more grateful as well to Linda and the DJ team (Anesh & Hussein) who had our guests constantly rushing to the dance floor and adding things on the fly that resulted in everyone line dancing at one point.

To our amazing photographers, Michelle and Larissa, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Both me and my partner are pretty awkward people, but they made us feel so at ease the whole time and made the whole process of capturing everything we wanted so easy. It's still too soon so we haven't seen the finals, but we can't wait to sit down with them and see everything that was captured.

Something nice we weren't expecting was a handover of the day coordinator to the room captain. Our room captain, Heera, was fantastic. The handover between the day team and the evening was flawless and Heera made sure we had plenty to eat and drink between all the festivities. We didn't catch the names of the rest of the staff that were there that night, but all our guests were so impressed with how kind and attentive everyone was, so thank you so much to the evening crew for making their night as well!

Something we were a little concerned about was food. We knew that a buffet could be pretty good, but nothing prepared us for the amount of guests we had going back for seconds, thirds, and then telling us days later that it had been the best wedding food they'd ever had. So a huge shoutout to the entire culinary team at Newlands! We highly recommend upgrading to the prime rib as that was definitely something everyone loved, and we even got a lot of people saying how much they enjoyed all the vegetarian options as well. If you have guests that are vegan or have any dietary restrictions, Newlands were more than helpful in ensuring that those individuals got their own plates and that all the food was carefully labelled and/or food was separated onto different tables to avoid as much cross contamination as possible which was amazing.

While we have no control over the weather, I really appreciated how much Jessalyn reassured me that whatever happens, there is a rain plan and it's quick to organize (even though we know it won't be needed because it will hold out!). I think knowing that there was always a back up and a chance to still make things special for us, was just a bonus in having a wedding that was affordable, and memorable.

We really appreciated that 2 times a year leading up to the wedding, they also hold a huge showcase and tasting so you get a chance to try the food, find vendors that they've worked with before, and you get a chance to chat with all of them which is honestly so helpful especially with how busy and stressful it can be planning.

If you're looking for a chance to having a beautiful wedding that encompasses the benefit of being able to work within a budget if you have one, having a team that truly cares about your day, and having an amazing experience seeing effortless planning come together, my partner and I couldn't recommend Newlands more.

We had our October wedding here at newlands. Everything went so well. Everyone was so helpful with all our questions and the wedding went on without any issues!

Having Newlands Golf and Country be a part of our big day was so lovely! From the start to the finish it just seemed to effortlessly flow. The decorations and food were unreal, so thank you thank you again.
Although I did have a mix up with the DJ. My bridesmaid was set up to sing two songs and he only queued one of the songs. Regardless though he did a pheromonal job at the music! Everyone danced all night! I'd also would recommend pins underneath the table as one of our tables collapsed and noticing that as a bride did catch my eye.
The photobooth did stop working at the last 10 minutes of the reception. I would recommend them to have a back up just incase -- I am thankful they have digital copies sent for this reason :).
These are not negative outcomes! I just want to share the whole experience because Newlands truly did make it everything I wanted. And things do happen; its life. But they handled it with grace and kindness and I wouldn't have had that at a different venue -- they were truly amazing. Thank you thank you thank you.
Everything was so beautiful, family and friends kept saying "This is the best wedding ever!" It was so warming to hear. Marshall and I were smiling ear to ear.

Disappointing wedding coordination.

Our wedding at Newlands Golf & Country Club was beautiful overall, Unfortunately, we experienced significant coordination and communication issues that affected our wedding day and our family.

• Ceremony location: We had confirmed that our ceremony would be indoors in the Conservatory Ballroom, yet the coordinator’s documents continued to list the gazebo. We caught this ourselves only two weeks before the wedding.
• Ceremony setup: The dance floor and arch were set up incorrectly on the wedding day. My husband noticed the mistake before the ceremony and had it corrected. We feel these details should have been checked by the coordination team rather than by us on the wedding day. I cant imagine how I would ahve felt walking the aisle in the disastrous set up had my husband not checked.
• Reception seating: Despite providing the correct floor plan and updated table information multiple times, an earlier version was used. As a result, our immediate family was seated in a location where my mother-in-law could not properly see the dance floor and spent much of the reception standing. This was particularly upsetting because these moments cannot be recreated.
• Vendor meals: We repeatedly confirmed that our photobooth vendors needed two meals and asked that they be set aside around 8:30 PM. They were not informed and did not receive their meals for several hours. We had also given up two guest seats to accommodate the vendor meals.

we were very disappointed that our concerns were ultimately not addressed by the higher-level management/owners. We did not receive any additional goodwill compensation or a genuine meaningful apology for the overall impact these coordination issues had on us and our family.

Planning a wedding is already stressful, and having to repeatedly double-check important details ourselves added unnecessary stress that we should not have had to carry. We wanted to be able to trust our coordination team and enjoy the process, especially on the wedding day.

While the venue itself is lovely, based on our overall experience, we would not recommend Newlands for future weddings. We sincerely hope the venue takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication and coordination process for future couples.

Our wedding day at Newlands was truly perfect! From day 1, all of the staff members were incredibly helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and flexible with every detail of our wedding. They accommodated every request we had and made the planning process as seamless and stress-free as I could have imagined. By handling a majority of the big details, like food, bar, flowers, wedding cake, DJ, decor, setup/teardown and so much more, it allowed us to focus on the smaller details to make our wedding feel special and exactly what we wanted. While taking the stress of finding vendors off and also still gave us the freedom and flexibility to choose everything we want. The venue was decorated perfectly and looked absolutely beautiful. The Bride/bridesmaids got ready in the Magnolia suite, and it was the perfect place to relax, do hair, makeup, and pictures before the ceremony. Absolutely would recommend it to every Bride! Every staff member was absolutely incredible to work with. They were kind and knowledgeable and helped us curate our day to be exactly what we wanted.
A special shoutout to our wedding coordinator, Charlene Sierakawski, she worked with us from day 1 and was absolutely incredible. She helped us make every request come to life without hesitation and was so supportive and organized, from booking the venue to fluffing my dress as I came down the aisle, and everything in between!
We had an amazing wedding day room captain, Heera, who helped the day run so smoothly and took care of every request we had throughout the evening (including making sure we were well fed and always had a full drink!).
We picked Michelle Dixon as our photographer and cannot recommend her enough. Her personality was so relaxed and fun and made the whole process of taking pics easy and enjoyable. We are so happy with our choice to have her there with us.
I chose to go with the hair & makeup artist who is affiliated with Newlands, Kristin ONeill (Rosemount Beauty Co) and I am so glad I did. Her calm and kind energy was exactly what I needed for my wedding day and she and her team made me feel absolutely beautiful for my wedding day! I would highly recommend Kristin.
Linda Enos helped curate our music, DJ and playlists to be exactly what we wanted, was easy to work with and very knowledgeable.
Lisa Wilson at the design studio helped create the most beautiful room, flowers, and cake design we could have imagined. All these staff members and more made our wedding day at Newlands one of a kind. We are SO happy we chose this venue and would recommend it to anyone!

My husband and I just got married early August 2026. We started working with Newlands to plan our wedding late October of 2025. Our coordinator, Jessalyn was easily the best part of our planning experience. She was incredibly responsive to emails and questions. I am very type B so the thought of organizing and planning my wedding was stressful and overwhelming. Having Jessalyn work with us and reassuring us throughout the whole process was amazing.

The decor was fantastic as well. I would say the only downside was the florist. Our wedding was white and blue hydrangea themed and so I wanted the bouquets to have mostly white and blue flowers with a small “splash” of pink. I’d even sent a follow up email to confirm it was going to be just a small amount of pink and mostly blue and white… on the day of when I saw the bouquets, they were easily like 80% pink and there was like one hydrangea in my bridal bouquet. When I told Jessalyn that the bouquets were obviously gorgeous just not really what I pictured or close to the inspo picture I had provided, she was apologetic and immediately after the ceremony (before formal photos) got my bouquet fixed by asking the florist to add more blue and take out some of the pink. When I got it back in like 10mins or less it was way closer to what I had been wanting and I was so happy she had asked it to be changed for me.

Having all the vendors work out of one location made for seamless planning experience, where I didn’t have to compare rates and coordinate anything. Obviously there are pros and cons to having this style of wedding. I would say that brides who want everything custom, hands on, more control over things may not like it, but for us type B people it was awesome. If you do plan to have your wedding here ask for Jessalyn and definitely participate in the showcase weekend/contest draw because we won some incredible upgrades to our wedding that we definitely couldn’t have afforded.

All in all both my husband and I are happy with our decision to get married at Newlands.

The venue and the people working there were amazing. They truly made our experience of planning a wedding easy and the day was perfect. We are super happy with how it all turned out. I recommend getting the magnolia bridal suite if it’s available too, it was perfect for the morning when we were getting ready.

We got married in the Conservatory Ballroom at Newlands Golf & Country Club in July, and we had an incredible experience.

First, our coordinator, Jessalyn, was absolutely fabulous. She was extremely responsive and made the entire day run so smoothly. She was always happy to answer my many questions and is fantastic at her job. If you are lucky enough to have her as your coordinator, you are in very good hands.

Our photographer, Laura, absolutely killed it. Our goal was to spend as much time with our guests as possible, which meant completing our photography session very quickly. Despite the tight timeline, she captured beautiful, crisp posed and candid photos that we will cherish forever.

Lisa in the design studio brought my wildflower dreams to life and created exactly what I had envisioned. There were many options to choose from and I would definitely recommend adding the full panel of wall lights and ceiling lights. Once it got dark it felt like we were in a fairytale.

The food was hot, delicious, and received so many compliments from our guests. Our room captain also ensured that everything was served on time and that the evening ran smoothly.

We chose to add a light-up dance floor and a photo booth, and having both made the wedding that much more fun. The DJ ensured that the ceremony was seamless and kept everyone dancing until it was time to leave.

I would absolutely recommend Newlands to anyone planning their wedding. Our guests are still raving about it!

We had the most incredible wedding at Newlands Golf Course, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our special day. The setting was absolutely beautiful, and everything came together flawlessly to create the wedding we had always dreamed of.
