Amazing staff, very helpful, friendly and professional. Food is also very good.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!
My biggest regret with my wedding this year was booking with this company. The total lack of professionalism on the wedding day was ridiculous. We booked our wedding through La Distinction and rented the La Seigneurie site. Here are the list of things this company completely screwed up. I am issuing a formal complaint as well due to the serious amount of money we spent to have the wedding of our dreams, treated like crap by this place.
- Charging for access the night before when there was no staff or anyone in the venue to help.
-The morning of no staff on hand to help
-Windows left open overnight, an animal got in and ate some of the decorations.
-The hall was COVERED in little piles of dead bugs. No one from La Distinction bothered to clean anything for the wedding.
-We pilled all the extra chairs in the ceremony area at the back of the room and at the last minute we had to ask the staff to remove since they were left there.
-The cocktail hour area upstairs was full of bird feces. AGAIN, no one there to clean it.
-While I was getting ready (the bride) in the suite La Distinction sent one of their coordinators to do a “walk through” with another newly engaged couple. I asked them to leave, the coordinator told me it was "the best time to show a venue to a perspective client". I received NO warning, NO headsup from anyone. It was so disrespectful. Multiple people had to ask them to leave. They took their sweet time, continuing to look around after being asked MULTIPLE TIMES to leave.
-We requested a table be put next to the brides table prior to the event starting for the cake and it was never done. After asking multiple times.
-We went with the venues DJ (Larry Beatz) who was impossible to deal with. We had to ask several times for a Mic to be set up upstairs. We kept the guests in a “holding area” until he finally came to set up AFTER the start time of the wedding.
During the ceremony, the DJ never played previously agreed upon songs for the wedding. There was an assigned song for the signing of the marriage license, not played. No song played for the bride and groom's exit either. This lead to the entire ending of the ceremony to be screwed up and guest just got up and we never got to walk back down the aisle.
-The table for the photographer was not set up and once reminded they forgot to serve them meals.
-After the ceremony there was the cocktail hour and a preset schedule. Guest had to go into the venue for the washroom and the bar which should be better handled by staff as an hour before the doors were to open everyone was already seated. No staff in sight to control guest flow.
- I spent much time creating an extremely detailed binder to give to the staff for the night, this ensured the flow of the night went correctly. After being approached MULTIPLES TIMES, i asked, where is the binder? All of the questions you are asking are in said binder. To which I was told "oh yes the binder is amazing very helpful". I realized then that no one was actually looking at the premade schedule since all of the questions I was being asked could be found in what I gave them.
-The tables with dietary restrictions had to question every plate in front of them as they kept getting them incorrect.
-The children were supposed to be served chicken nuggets. Nope, they got the high end meals that quite frankly are not for kids and not what was agreed upon.
-Guest requested coffee after desert and were told there was no more hot water therefore it was not possible. It took over an hour to find a solution. Cold water + stove= hot water. But it was the end of the world for the kitchen staff to find a solution.
-The midnight bar was served and the kitchen staff were caught MULTIPLE TIMES, sticking their hands through the curtain making plates for themselves. This was food we payed for, for our GUESTS! Not for the staff to be reaching for at the same time a guest is trying to make a plate.
The list of complaints goes much further than this unfortunately

J'ai apprécié le cadre pour un mariage extérieur, la coordonnatrice était ouverte aux suggestions toutefois, la communication a manqué un tout petit peu dans la coordination du jour J. J'aurai préféré définir une heure entre chaque mariage au site pour la cérémonie pour éviter que les mariés soient dans le rush de quitter l'île du site.

Lovely $ beautiful place. We had a wonderful wedding there. Highly recommend. Professional, responsible and nice staffs.

Nous avons organisé notre mariage, le 22 mai dernier à La Distinction. Le mariage était prévu dès 2020. Dès notre première visite, nous sommes tombés sous le charme de l'endroit, mais encore plus avec la qualité du service du personnel. Marie-Pier était initialement notre conseillère, puis, le reste, incluant le grand jour, était pris en charge par Geneviève. Son expérience, son professionnalisme, son aide, ses idées étaient appréciées tout au long du processus. Nous nous sommes réellement sentis accompagnés. Geneviève répondait à toutes mes questions. Notre mariage était un si grand succès. On ne pouvait pas imaginer mieux. C'est définitivement un endroit à considérer pour un rapport qualité-prix surpassant les attentes. Nous recommandons La Distinction à tous les niveaux (endroit, service, cuisine et prix).

Our experience was amazing Genevieve was an absolute star and help us organize our venue, even with all the covid restrictions. Her team / staff was also fantastic on the day of the wedding.
We were so lucky that the night before it rained all night and the next day was beautiful. We were the only wedding during that day and we were able to book the tent and have the site all to ourselves.
