Our wedding at the Kitchener Public Library on August 30th, 2025, was absolutely beautiful. The space was stunning and unique, it created the perfect atmosphere for our day. We’re especially grateful to Farida, Melany, and Sam, who were incredibly helpful and wonderful to work with every step of the way. Their support made the planning process so much smoother, and we truly appreciated their kindness and professionalism.
Highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for something special! -

Wedding Reception in Reading Lounge
My husband and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding reception in the reading lounge of the Kitchener Public Library and cocktail hour in their beautiful courtyard. We couldn't believe how warm and comfortable it was outside for October but I'd highly recommend it for anyone considering that time of year. From the point of initially contacting the library to make inquiries, we had nothing but smooth correspondence. We worked with Farida and Melany in the lead up to the day and exclusively with Melany on the day itself. She ensured everything was in its place and went above and beyond to look after every detail, even ones we hadn't considered. We also appreciated that they supplied a list of preferred vendors to help us find reputable ones like our DJ and our photographer. Ourselves and our guests loved the entire event and would be glad to host another gathering there at some point! -

Amazing space "you don't have to decorate"
Honestly my favourite part about hosting our wedding at the KPL in downtown kichener was that every space is already so beautiful that all we really added were personal touches (photos, signs, etc.) and what existed already there lent to beautiful photos and such a fun time! The staff there, although have only just started hosting weddings, were professional and courteous and happy to make arrangements to make our day special for us. I would in a heartbeat host more weddings there, too bad I'm only going to have one! -

The Perfect Venue
As booklovers who met working in the book industry, when I realized we could get married at our local public library it was an easy yes. On top of the venue being perfect for us in that regard, it is so stunningly beautiful, and that was before we even saw the outdoor courtyard where our ceremony took place. Farida was our main point of contact and she was absolutely incredible. She worked with our vendors and us to make our day exceptional. I can't imagine our wedding having been anywhere else, I've already said it but perfect is the only word for it. Thank you to Farida and the entire KPL team for making our day so special! Can't recommend this venue enough. -

Me and my husband has a good time at the venue and it was nice and different to get married at the libary and also the libarians are good people, I would recommend them! If your in a budget or what not, and in the back they have really nice scenery and we loved it we would recommend to our family or anyone else! In happy we chose the libary! It was cute! -

This was the absolutely perfect venue! Farida is a superhero and helped make our dreams come true! She and the team were very flexible, helping us orchestrate our perfect day. Great value, and let us customize all the details just how we wanted. Beautiful, with lots of variety for nice pictures. I also like that the money goes towards the public library, which is an important resource for the community. And we can go back to the library any time to revisit these memories, something you'd never get at a "corporate" wedding hall. -

“Our wedding day at KPL was totally effortless. I felt well-directed and not rushed. It was a very fun and relaxed event! We had a lot of creative freedom to make our ceremony accurately reflect us as a family. We love the overall size of the reading lounge area where our little ceremony was - you could have a really big wedding here! Honestly, the library is such an inclusive and accessible space, my expectations of a warm, welcoming atmosphere were met long before we were married here.
From initial concepts to shoring up the mid-way details, and then the actual event date, I'm convinced there was not an easier process. This is entirely a result of the pure professionalism of the library's event coordinators. And of course, special thanks to Farida and fellow library staff who made everything come together seamlessly.”
