My husband and I got married at Forest City National. Stephanie and the whole team there couldn’t have made it a more special and perfect day. Everything about the venue, the food and the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make it absolutely perfect, and they were there for us if we needed anything day of, and if we had any questions prior to the day they were quick to answer and help. There was also a beautiful bridal suite to hangout with my girlfriends before hand which made things a lot less stressful, and made for a lot less running around. I would 100% recommend this venue, and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Plus who wouldn’t want to get married by the water! This was an incredible venue for our late October reception! The staff were outstanding — kind, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it all night. There was zero stress on our wedding day because we knew we were in great hands. Stephanie and Nichole, thank you so much — it was a pleasure working with you and your team. You truly helped make it a night to remember! -

I cant say enough how perfect this venue was. Our theme was rustic elegant and it was perfect. Stephanie was so friendly and made us feel special. The staff where so kind and welcoming. All our guest were raving about the food saying how delicious and great portion size. The backdrop for the ceremony is absolutely stunning any time of year. The venue its self is decor which limited what we needed to purchase. There are plenty bathrooms for guests and the bridal room for getting ready is a decent size and layout. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again. -

Our experience was more than we could have asked for!
Forest City National Golf Club was the perfect choice for my Husband and I. Stephanie & her staff were and are phenomenal. They are reliable, helpful, dedicated and make you feel at home. As soon as we stepped on the grounds we were able to envision that being our place to get married. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue. The food is to die for and we were able to capture beautiful pictures to have lasting memories. ❤️Forest City National Golf Club's reply:

FCN was the most perfect venue for our wedding!! The view is breathtaking, the food was incredible and the staff were top notch! Planning and replanning our day was made much easier with the consistent and speedy communication with Stephanie. Stephanie and her team made sure that our day was everything we hoped for. I am so grateful we chose FCN to host our most special day! -

We got married at this beautiful venue in June 2022. Leading up to the wedding we had an amazing experience with their lead co-ordinator Stephanie. Consistently answered many e-mails quickly and in a helpful manner. We had no reason to expect our wedding day to be executed as poorly as it was in the end. The whole experience was very blindsiding based off of such a positive pre-experience. To sum our main heartbreaks:
1. Our package includes 'Antipasto and bread trays'... these were never served on the day. We had a large wedding and people were always looking for hor' doerve servers. We thought having those boards out would have been a nice touch for people to self serve. This was apologized for and we were given $300 but it is unfortunate and irreversible none the less.
2. We selected their top Food & Beverage package and tacked on premium bar- making our guests experience a top priority and paying top dollar for it. On the day our reception ran 3.5 hours for which the bar was closed the whole time. That's fine... but the table wine was never replenished! 1 bottle of white and 1 bottle of red per table of 8 was all they got! Most of our tables experienced a mostly dry wedding for 3 hours of our reception despite us being promised a 'premium open bar and table wine'. We were so sad to hear many of our guests tried to get served at the golf course bar. This is something that only came to our attention after the wedding and now we don't know what we paid for.
3. Our head table was served cold food and when asked for hot plates to replace it, more cold plates were brought out.
4. The food tasting knocked our socks off! Making selections was soooo hard. Especially when it came to dessert. The dessert our guests were served wasn't plated anywhere near as nice as at the tasting and tasted nothing at all as we remembered. We ordered a caramel dessert but the dessert we got was some kind of dense chocolate square.
5. Our coordinator who we had been in contact with for 15 months leading up to our wedding day, who knew everything about our wedding and was so pre-helpful, left our wedding during cocktail hour. So when everything at the reception started falling apart the staff we were speaking to were strangers and frankly no one seemed like they knew anything about our wedding. She didn't tell us she'd be leaving before our reception, neither did she say goodbye.
6. Most upsetting of all, when we brought all of these concerns and disappointments to their attention after we returned from our honeymoon there was a complete switch of tone. Our guests character's were brought in to question and in general we felt like they hated us, our guests, and our wedding day and had no interest in taking accountability for 90% of our very valid concerns.
These 6 points were among many others but I would consider them the most relevant to anyone reading this.
The venue is beautiful and clean which were two things that drew us there. However, anyone considering their wedding there should avoid any premium upgrades as the value is truly not there. I wish we purchased the lowest package in hindsight because that is the level of service we got despite paying their top prices.Forest City National Golf Club's reply:
We are so sorry to read that after all this time and the numerous emails back and forth after your event you have decided to leave us a negative review. It’s truly heartbreaking that you were not happy with your day as your wedding and every other event at Forest City is extremely important to us.
As previously discussed at length our team at Forest City National did everything in their power to make your day live up to your expectations and Stephanie herself spent countless extra hours of her time before, during and after your event to help provide a seamless event.
We do feel we should offer a glimpse into our side of the story.
Yes, the antipasto platter was apologized for - numerous times - and you and your husband accepted our apology at the time as well as the renumeration offered. We are sorry to see this is no longer enough of an apology for you.
The only reason the bar was closed for 3 hours was because when we tried to open it during dessert (your speeches stretching dinner out much longer than usual) you yourself came over and yelled at our Bar Manager to close it. So we were following your wish to keep the bar closed.
The head table was served their main courses and then all promptly got up and left for pictures. Upon your return new meals were plated and served. This of course was not something the kitchen was counting on but new hot meals were served to your head table. We would never send out cold food and re-heating would never be considered which is why new meals were plated.
As previously discussed and explained to you the Carmel Pave dessert was the exact same one - made by the same Baker - as done at the tasting. To refresh your memory pave means to have a light layer of caramel on top.
The Coordinator stayed until the salads were all served and is not in the habit of interrupting a bridal dinner to say goodbye. It is quite normal for her to leave at this time, especially when you were still left with a Food and Beverage Manager and a Special Events Manager from Forest City National on site. Both whom had sat in on several meetings about your day. Not to mention your two hired Wedding Coordinators that were still on site.
Your guests character was NEVER brought into question. Not ever. What was discussed was the fact that staff were put into the uncomfortable position of having to remove bottles of alcohol from numerous guests that was clearly purchased elsewhere which is obviously not allowed - walking around with open large bottles of hard liquor and beer on the property, in the banquet hall and in the bathrooms. Also that guests were out in the parking lot drinking this alcohol during dinner. This was brought up as we had to switch to plastic glasses early due to the amount of glass breakage and our concern for your guests safety, Guests safety is always a priority.
Please know the entire team at Forest City National worked very hard to help ensure your day was the one you had dreamed of. We hope you can find a way to enjoy your positive, wonderful memories of your gorgeous day.
