Elizabeth (coordinator) Was Fantastic but Catering was horrible, while the food was good, I would never have Taste of Class for anything again
Extremely Disappointed with Taste of Class Catering
We hired Taste of Class for our wedding reception, expecting the professionalism and service we were promised during the planning process. Sadly, what we experienced fell far short of those expectations.
Several key issues left both us and our guests disappointed:
Food Shortages: Two full tables (16 guests) were left with only rice and a few pieces of chicken. No salad, no lasagna, hardly any vegetables. The Caesar salad wasn’t replenished until 25 minutes after everyone had already finished eating. This was not because guests “over-served themselves,” but because the buffet was poorly monitored—there was no staff at the serving line, and it took one of our guests knocking on the kitchen door to get more food brought out.
Unprofessional Staff Conduct: Guests saw staff helping themselves to food before all guests had been served. Regardless of the explanation given later, the optics were terrible and made it seem like the guests weren’t the priority.
Coffee & Tea Missing: Several guests—including the groom—went to get coffee before tables were cleared and found none available, despite the promise it would be the last thing removed.
Head Table Cleared Too Early: Our wine and glassware were removed without asking, while we were away briefly greeting guests. This felt dismissive and rushed.
Basic Standards Missed: Paper napkins at a formal wedding reception—an oversight that should never have happened.
When we raised these concerns afterward, the company’s response felt defensive rather than accountable. Instead of a genuine apology or constructive resolution, we received point-by-point justifications that shifted blame away from their team and ignored the real impact on our wedding day.
To make matters worse, after our last follow-up message, management at Taste of Class has not even responded—further showing a lack of care or professionalism in handling legitimate client concerns.
We did have some positive moments—one server in particular checked in on us and was kind—but overall, the service, food management, and attitude from management left us feeling frustrated and let down on one of the most important days of our lives.
We cannot recommend Taste of Class and would urge other couples to consider their options carefully.
