We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Granite Brewery & Tied House. From the initial planning stages to the day of our wedding, Sam and his team made the entire process effortless, handling every detail with a level of professionalism and care that put us at ease. Sam was incredibly accommodating, always ensuring that all our requests were met and even going the extra mile to make our day truly special. On the day itself, Owen was fantastic, running the show smoothly and making sure everything went off without a hitch.

The garden setting for our ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and the reception was equally perfect. Our guests loved the food and raved about the variety of drinks — from their house ales to the specialty beers, there was something for everyone. Granite Brewery’s longstanding reputation as one of Toronto’s original craft breweries speaks to their dedication to quality, and it really showed in both their hospitality and their menu offerings.

The venue has a cozy, old pub charm with tasteful modern touches. The ceremony space is naturally beautiful and surprisingly peaceful, even in the middle of Toronto.
The staff were incredible — attentive, professional, and kept everything running smoothly all night. The food was a huge hit; weeks later, guests are still raving about it, and some have already gone back just to eat there again! couldn’t imagine a better place to get married. I would trust The Granite again in a heartbeat.

This location is perfection: easy access for all in the GTA with safe parking, a gorgeous courtyard ceremony space, and a cozy inside perfect for the party! The team made everything simple and we never lifted a finger. They were incredibly helpful and we feel their prices were very fair. Food was amazing and our guests made sure to tell us. 100/5 stars

My husband and I got married at the Granite recently and we had such a wonderful time that it's kind of hard to express how much we love this wonderful establishment and its people.

The people:
Firstly, Sam was our main point of contact for our wedding and from our first meeting, we knew that we were in good hands. He was responsive, friendly, and genuine whenever we spoke to him and we just knew we could trust him with our big day. We visited the Granite one day several months before our wedding to find that a renovation had happened unbeknownst to us and the reception area for our wedding looked quite different than what we had originally booked. When we reached out to Sam about it, he took the time to explain why the renovations were necessary (it made total sense), took accountability immediately, and made things right for us. It meant a lot to us that he didn't just dismiss us or argue with us, and it says a lot about how well he manages his family's business.

In addition to Sam, everyone who works at the Granite is super lovely. Ryan, Tinna, Owen, and Ada are all super friendly and always provide amazing service. The feedback we got from our wedding guests was that the service was prompt and excellent. Unfortunately, one of our guests made a mess on the floor (we're so sorry) but the staff handled it so professionally and didn't mention a word of it to us.

The food:
The food at the Granite is amazing. All our guests raved about the food, including my picky mother! We went with Buffet 2 and both the chicken and beef were incredible. Both were perfectly cooked. Super tender and juicy - not dry at all. My go-to on regular days (not my wedding day) is the lamb curry which is so hearty, delicious and really spicy. Ironically, despite getting married at a brewery, I am not a big drinker but have quite enjoyed the Ringberry ale! They are also super accommodating and clear about dietary restrictions so if you have any vegetarians or people with allergies in your group, they are very easy to work with.

Atmosphere + premises:
From the outside you would never be able to tell how just how charming this place is. The indoor seating areas are just so cozy and the reception area is great for events. We also attended a trivia night once and it was a blast. The patio is really nice and overlooks a beautiful courtyard which is where we did our wedding ceremony + photos. I cannot get over how beautiful it looked out there with the white hydrangeas in full bloom. We also love how the washrooms are inclusive. Our guests appreciated that this was an all-in-one venue where you can do the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one location. No one wants a 3 hour gap between a church service and a reception at opposite ends of the city!

Value:
If you're looking for a wedding venue that can accommodate around ~100 ish, I highly recommend checking out the Granite. Every other venue we looked at was ridiculously priced with crazy additional fees. The Granite gives you everything you need without ever trying to upsell you or charge you for any extra stuff. It's all very clear from the beginning what you're paying for.

I promise you won't be disappointed if you book your wedding with Granite. They really are the best team and my husband and I cannot thank them enough for their hard work in making our day so perfect.

What more could you ask for?

Sam and his team are pros. They made it so incredibly easy to plan a wedding there, the courtyard was beautiful for the ceremony, the room looked lovely, the staff was fantastic, having the covered patio was excellent. We were shocked at how easy it was to find all information we needed on the website and how quick and helpful Sam was throughout. We also had many people sound pleasantly surprised when they told us how much they enjoyed the food. Way more delicious than you expect from a wedding buffet at a pub.

To sum up the level of thoughtfulness: we opened our card box the next morning to find they had slipped in a card signed by the team and a gift card. Highly recommend for any event!

The crew at the granite is beyond measure. They are creative, understanding, effective, timely and experienced with large groups and weddings. Sam worked closely with us to hammer out details, complete tastings and ensure we were well taken care of at each phase of planning and execution.

The courtyard is unmatched in midtown, providing a quiet oasis against the endless construction and traffic of the area. Even with light rain the morning of, it wasn't muddy and no guests got bogged down. Additionally, the venue is well suited to beautiful photos that look like they were taken anywhere other than midtown.

The value for money is also unparalleled. The food was delicious and the staff were on their a-game. I will absolutely recommend the granite to anyone who will listen, and twice to those who won't.

I am in awe how beautiful this venue is for that intimate feel we were aiming for. The ceremony space is beautiful, the food was great, the overall experience planning including the day of seemed to be so easy flowing. Thank you Sam and staff for being amazing! Our guests really enjoyed it.

Granite Brewery & Tied House is an incredible restaurant, brewery and wedding venue! My husband and I have always loved Granite, so when it came time to plan our wedding they were an obvious choice for us. Sam made the planning process so smooth as he was always responsive and so detailed in his answers to any questions we had. We were able to do a tasting in advance to help narrow down our menu choices, and Sam helped guide us along the way with any decisions that needed to be made. The Granite staff really made us feel like everything was going to be taken care of and reduced a lot of potential stress leading up to the big day.

We requested to have a rehearsal dinner at Granite the night before the wedding, and they were so accommodating. We were able to practice the ceremony, and a table was set up on the back patio for us to have dinner afterwards. Chris introduced himself to us as the lead staff that would be taking care of us for both the rehearsal and the wedding. He is absolutely incredible and was a pleasure to work with. He ensured that the service was excellent, and really made us feel at ease.

The wedding day at Granite went even better than I could have ever imagined! The Granite staff were all so helpful in getting the venue set up in the afternoon. The space is already beautiful, so we only needed to bring minimal decorations and it really felt like a beautiful wedding space. They have access to a gorgeous courtyard right behind the restaurant where the ceremony took place. Then the back patio was used for cocktail hour, before moving inside the restaurant for the reception. It was incredible to be able to have everything all in one venue so our guests didn’t have to travel, while still feeling like there was a great flow to the evening getting to move between the three different spaces.

We chose to do the plated dinner, and the food and drinks were absolutely amazing. We had guests come up to us after to compliment how good the food was, and talk about how impressed they were with the service. Chris was incredible and really kept the whole reception flowing so smoothly, while also connecting with our other vendors to keep them informed of the timing between each course. After dinner, the dance floor opened and our guests had a great time! I loved that there was a dancefloor for any guests that wanted to dance, but there was also the back patio available for any guests that wanted to relax in a quieter space and just chat instead. The whole day felt so wonderful and intimate, and a big part of that was Granite being such an incredible venue and the staff making everything run so smoothly. I would absolutely recommend Granite to anyone considering it for their wedding venue!
