We had our Ceremony here on a week day afternoon, beautiful venue, it was picture perfect! I waited a month to post a review as I wanted to ensure my thoughts and feelings are accurate.
The Good parts: The lighting is fantastic, the outdoor and indoor areas are well maintained. Alan is super friendly and kind. Photos turned out just stunning. Also very accommodating to different views on religion and is willing to work with you to ensure family isn’t uncomfortable. Gives a discount if you book on a week day which was nice. Also allows you to have a flower girl/boy throw fake flower petals.
The stressful parts:
- You have to send email/text or call a few times in order to get a response and even then, some of information you seek won’t be responded back on.
- We had in a text that we could have our rehearsal on a specific day. Almost a month out after trying to extra confirm everything (due to the lack of responding back) we were told that we could no longer do it on that day and had to move it to a different day only to find out that day doesn’t work either… after going around and finding a solution last minute. (This is where we got the best response time) We got it moved back to the original day and they had someone fill in to do it with us. (Although it was very stressful, it made me happy to have it back on that day as part of the wedding party was flying in and were able to attend).
- I was in the bridal room (which is also beautiful) when I found out about that about 15 mins before the wedding started that the pianist was either unavailable or not coming. It was definitely one of those “I need to stay calm as I can’t do anything to fix it” moments. I was impressed that Alan was able to play the piano and officiated the wedding on the fly but It did take away from the ceremony as we had to awkwardly stand there for a while as we waited for him to move back and forth. With how much we paid, and to find out last minute… it doesn’t sit well. He did tell us we would see something come back our way when he broke the news to us but we haven’t received anything yet….
Overall. Beautiful venue. A bit stressful, maybe I was a one off experience. -

The beautiful old chapel was the perfect cozy atmosphere to gather with friends and family. We had 85 people, which was the perfect number, as the inside of the chapel is quite small. Pastor Mitchell made sure our day was exactly how we envisioned it, and he really eased all of our worries. He made our bridal parties and parents feel engaged. The pianist was also a great addition to the venue! -

The venue is beautifully intimate. It has exactly what you need for to have your ceremony. Allan was very helpful on the day of our wedding. The actual venue fit all of our needs.
The only thing I would say is that there were many occasions where I didn’t get responses with questions I had. I did have to often follow up and use a different method of communication to get an answer.
Overall I would recommend this location :) -

Beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you to Allan for being such a wonderful officiant. Allan provided the most wonderful venue for our ceremony. It was so beautiful there. It made our intimate wedding memorable. The interior of the chapel is classy and clean. We had a wonderful time on our intimate wedding there. The owner, Alan was great too. He was easy to talk to, courteous and professional. Everything is also included in the package. After meeting Allan at the Chapel at Minoru Park for our first site visit, we knew it would be the perfect setting for our intimate wedding ceremony of 30. Growing up across the street from the chapel, I had always admired the exterior but had never stepped inside until then-- The interior is well maintained, historic, and exceedingly charming with the most beautiful stained glass and wood details. An exceedingly kind and thoughtful caretaker and owner, Allan made the experience feel seamless and so easy. He was professional, knowledgeable, and collaborative through the entire process-- even though we had a friend officiate the ceremony itself, Allan was still integral in planning, supporting our wedding rehearsal, coordinating music, and facilitating the paperwork. It was a perfect day and we cannot thank him and the Chapel Group enough!The Chapel Group - Minoru Park's reply:
