Puddicombe House was the perfect space for our January wedding! We do ballroom dance as a hobby so one of the most important factors we were looking for in a venue was a place that would have ample floor space for an elaborate first dance. We looked at a few venues but when we saw Puddicombe House we instantly fell in love and knew we would be getting married there. We had about 70 guests attend and there was plenty of seating space available around the central dance floor. Having the ceremony and reception be in the same location was also a great convenience for our guests.
The food was incredible. Before we even had a chance to try it ourselves, we heard from vendors at wedding shows that Puddicombe House has delicious food. The tasting confirmed that for us, and our guests very much enjoyed the meal. The late night poutine bar was a particular hit and is highly recommended!
The staff were fantastic! They did a great job of ensuring a smooth transition between ceremony and reception. They also provided excellent service at the reception making sure anyone who needed a top up of wine at dinner was helped. The bartender was very kind and attentive to our guests. Nick did a great job before the wedding making sure everything was organized and would go smoothly for the day of.
We are so happy with how our wedding turned out! Puddicombe House played a huge part in the success of the day, both in how amazing the venue is, and the people that work there. We highly recommend this space to other couples!
P.S. The on-site spa provided a perfect spot for the bride, bridesmaids, and mothers to get their hair and makeup done. We also decided to stay at the B&B and the room and amenities were wonderful.

Wonderful wedding venue
My husband and I were very happy with choosing the Puddicombe House for our wedding! The location is amazing and has everything you need all in one place. They have a spa and restaurant on site, a beautiful outdoor ceremony location by the river, a nice patio for cocktail hour, an elegant hall and quaint rooms to stay over at. The food was amazing and the staff were very nice to work with. Specifically Alayna who would answer all of our questions and help us with the planning along the way. She was also with us the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly! We were very happy with our wedding at Puddicombe and have had numerous compliments from our guests about the venue and wedding!!Puddicombe House's reply:

From the moment we stepped foot in Puddicombe House, we knew immediately it was the venue for us! The Grand Hall is elegant and timeless, and the outdoor ceremony location is picture-perfect. Alayna and Nick were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process (made it quite stress-free actually!) and were very accommodating when when we needed to change our guest count after the final payment. Alayna and her team went above and beyond on our wedding day, ensuring guests were guided from the ceremony to cocktail hour and into the reception and also taking the lead on making "sherbet" (a traditional strawberry and rose flavoured drink). We had rave guest reviews for the food and guests with dietary restrictions were accommodated perfectly (the vegan meal choices were superb). Would highly recommend Puddicombe House as a wedding venue!Puddicombe House's reply:

There are not words good enough to describe our incredible experience with the Puddicombe Team, especially Nick and Alayna. From the moment we met both of them, they went above and beyond to make every moment (including planning/decisions) and the day of personal and special, not just for us but our entire family. Their attention to all of the things, things we never even considered was incredible. Their genuine care and easy going approach made the entire process HONESTLY effortless and stress-free. From the smallest touches to the grandest moments, they created an atmosphere that felt uniquely ours, full of warmth, loved and incredible memories. Our family had the best space, the most delicious food, the most comforting and gorgeous areas to experience the most wonderful event. I told Alayna already, but I didn't know I needed an Alayna in our lives and we really did. My partner and I got married at Puddicombe House earlier this year and can't say enough good things about the experience. Over the course of the year planning our wedding both Nick (General Manager) and Alayna (Wedding Coordinator) provided tremendous support and flexibility in making our vision happen.
The venue itself is beautiful in a timeless way and kept in great condition. The decor and structure make for stunning pictures with little effort. We got married in January and were lucky enough to get a snowfall beforehand and the grounds look like a dream in the winter. We loved the bar inside the main house so much that we decided we would like to host our cocktail hour there - an option that Puddicombe was happy to accommodate, even on a Saturday evening.
A memorable meal was a determining factor in where we were going to choose to have our wedding. We had eaten at Puddicombe once before booking it and were really impressed by the food. Once we had our menu tasting we were even more excited because each course was exceptional. Despite already high expectations, we were still so impressed with the food on our wedding day. The most consistent compliment we received on the day and the days following was about the food, with several guests remarking it was the best they had ever had at a wedding. Any allergies or preferences were catered to by the kitchen without issue.
While the venue and food are important, it is the people who make the experience and Alayna and Nick were so great to work with. Alayna's demeanor kept what could be a stressful day for some people very calm. She was always happy to jump on a call to discuss our questions, reliable in providing answers and flexible in accommodating our requests. The greatest compliment we could give Nick is that it felt like he treated our wedding like a partner in the event and not just a vendor. A standout memory for us is that before we entered our ceremony, Nick offered to mop the aisle quickly once everyone was seated so that there would not be salt marks in our pictures. It is not something we would have thought of but made for much better pictures and speaks to the venue's level of care.
Overall, we were so pleased with our experience and can't wait to visit and eat at Puddicombe in the years to come.Puddicombe House's reply:

Our wedding day was absolutely magical at the Puddicombe House. The venue is so picturesque and made for some beautiful moments. The flow of the day was seamless and all of our guests still constantly mention how delicious the food was. The day was truly incredible and was made possible by the incredible staff. We're so glad we chose to go with Puddicombe House as our wedding venue! From our first visit to the time in between and the actual wedding, we couldn't have asked for more. Guests were raving about the food, saying it was among (or surpassed) their best wedding meals ever, and the same for the beauty of the venue! It was so convenient having everything in one place the day before (we stayed over 2 nights), the day of, and even breakfast together the day after. Alayna and Nick answered all of our questions leading up to the wedding, and the day of, Alayna directed things seamlessly for the ceremony and reception.

Our experience with Puddicombe House was truly exceptional. Our wedding on August 3 was everything we had envisioned and more. Every detail we dreamed of came to life.
Our wedding party and some guests stayed at the Inn, and the accommodations were delightful. It was so convenient to have our wedding hair done at the spa. Alayna and Nick were incredibly helpful, accommodating every aspect of our plans. They arranged the outdoor ceremony at the gazebo park, and while we were having our photos taken, our guests enjoyed exclusive access to the beautiful outdoor terrace.
Ella at Neodecor created stunning decorations and floral arrangements. We appreciated the flexibility to set up our centerpieces and additional decor the day before. The meal was outstanding, and the serving staff was top-notch. The venue was not only accessible but also impeccably clean.
Alayna's dedication was evident as she oversaw the entire day, ensuring everything went smoothly right up until our last song of the evening. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience and wholeheartedly recommend Puddicombe House for any wedding or special event.Puddicombe House's reply:

Our Wedding was amazing!
My husband, Ryan and I got married at Puddicombe House on July 27, 2024. Let me start by saying Nick Cressman was amazing to work with. He is super friendly, accommodating and professional. Ella Cressman did an beautiful job with our decor. We Highly recommend her as well. Lastly, the coordinator, Alayna Bailey is incredible at her job. She is so accommodating and so nice. I’m so glad we had our wedding at Puddicombe House! My husband and I live in the maritimes, so I was a little scared that planning a wedding from across the country would be a nightmare, but Nick and Alayna were so responsive, accommodating, and flexible.
The space outside is absolutely beautiful. Guests were lining up to take photos under the heart arch during cocktail hour. One word of note - the bottom of my dress turned green from walking on the astroturf where the cocktail hour was held. This wasn’t a big deal for me because pictures were done and I had a separate dress for the rest of the reception, but it’s good to know.
The indoor space was also stunning. The floors, the lighting, the bathrooms were all beautiful.
The food is hands down the best wedding food I’ve ever had. Guests loved it! And the house wine… I really wish I could buy it at the liquor store. It was GOOD.Puddicombe House's reply:
