Hidden gem - beautiful venue!

We knew planning a wedding during a pandemic was going to be a struggle, but given the circumstances the team at the Alderlea was very helpful. They let us know what we needed to do in order to safely hold our wedding at the venue, and we didn't have to worry about anything on the Big Day!

The Alderlea has 3 preferred caterers, and we worked with TK's Catering (which was also a wonderful experience). The venue's team set up all of our tables, chairs, outdoor ceremony, music/AV equipment, and it just made everything so much easier for us.

All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how they had no idea downtown Brampton could house such a lovely venue. And all of our photos are gorgeous - the Pavilion room for dinner, the garden for our ceremony, the Parlour for cocktails and dancing, and the upstairs bridal suite, the exterior of the house itself, all made for beautiful backdrops!

Inflexible and unprofessional

Absolutely atrocious service. The administrative team arbitrarily decided we couldn't book the venue in the times they told us because they decided our meeting was not a community meeting (we're a homeschooling group and our children are presenting their work to their parents - it is effectively a power point presentation without a powerpoint). It is not recital. So despite *us* changing things to accomodate the venue (not the other way round), despite having a charity number, accommodating the venues timings, hours and catering restrictions, the administrative arbitrarily decided we had to pay a different category of fee ($1000 more) because our meeting was not a meeting. They then ignored all follow up communication attempts, gave us wrong numbers etc. Unbelievably disrespectful. If you want an event that has a team that works with you rather than expects you to change everything to accommodate them, don't pick this venue.

Not a good experience with the coordinator

We inquired about the Alderlea for a wedding event in May 2024. We spoke with the coordinator (Fatima), booked a tour and finalized all of the paperwork. Getting in touch was difficult and it took a while to reach the final stages. At the very last moment, the venue was not available anymore. There was a lot of confusion in coordinating with their team. The staff was not supportive and made the whole process very unclear. This wasted a bit of our time, so we ended up going with a different venue.

Beautiful Venue

This venue is charming and well-preserved. The staff are helpful and the price point is fantastic. We got beautiful photos here.

Wedding Reception

We LOVE The Alderlea! It's such a beautiful and unique venue that offers so much elegance and warmth. The space was decorated perfectly and our caterer, TK's Catering, was loved by all- they truly are fantastic!! Thank you so very much.

A&J Wedding May 19th 2019

The venue was great. Of the recommended Vendors we went with "feast your eyes" and professionalism and service and especially the food were amazing, they made our "Royal" theme come to life. also the DJ Ryan "Lagacy" Singh set the mood as well as MC MD kept the party live. Loved every moment and would recommend this Venue and Vendors ten times over.

AMAZING venue west of Toronto!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this space! we had a wedding of ~60 guests. Our ceremony was in the parlour and the reception was in the pavilion. Several guests were blown away by what a surprise the venue was and how beautiful it was for the event. Feast Your Eyes! was our caterer and absolutely every detail was tended to personally. Additionally, there is a wonderful bridal suite on the second floor that can easily accommodate your entire bridal party, or be a quiet spot for the newlyweds to catch a breath or for a new mom to feed a baby in peace.

Great venue!

This is such a cute and quaint venue - it's not like any other venues I've been to. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in hosting a small to midsize wedding. It has such a nice cozy feel to it.

From the moment we saw the renovated facility in April we knew that Alderlea would be a wonderful venue to celebrate our special day. We were glad to be one of the first couples to book a wedding. This venue was built in 1867. The City of Brampton spent approx, $12 million to renovate the heritage property.

Charlene, the property manger was excellent to work with. We appreciated her cooperation with Feast Your Eyes and Paras Events. It was a beautiful sunny day to get married. Our family & friends are still taking about the venue.
