The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport in Richmond was a phenomenal venue for our wedding! We had our tea ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the hotel.
Upon reaching out to the hotel through WeddingWire, Nick responded promptly to answer our questions regarding their availability and wedding packages. Cheyenne, the events manager, was wonderful in helping us with all the coordination leading up to our wedding. Especially on the day of our wedding, Cheyenne was present and helped us handle all our vendors who came and she took great care of us. All of the hotel staff were also very professional and accommodating. For example, on one occasion, the front desk was unaware of some prior arrangements made between myself and Cheyenne, such as receiving the meeting room key the night before the wedding, however, they were quick to resolve the issue and helped to the best of their abilities. On another occasion during the reception, a guest was accidentally served the wrong plate which had an item they were allergic to. The serving staff was quick to replace the plate, and Cheyenne offered us complimentary wedding cake cutting.
In terms of what the hotel has for their wedding packages, they offer a plated dinner or buffet, along with options for a cocktail hour or late night snacks. They also have many concessions based on your total food and beverage spending. For us, we had approximately 160 guests and we chose the 4 course plated menu (adding extra to offer three entrées for guests to choose from) and capped the beverages at an amount of our choice (they offer drink tickets as well). We met the $22,000 food and beverage minimum spend and as a result had the following complimentary concessions: two nights in the hotel's suite, valet parking for the couple, breakfast during our stay, ballroom rental waived for reception, menu tasting for the couple and two guests (which we requested to do first before booking this venue), three hours of photo booth service (via imageCube), sparking toast for the couple and adult guests during reception, chair covers with sashes. We also had discounted self-parking for guests and discounted host and cash beverages.
The only downside is there are a limited number of parking spots, as it depends on how many other hotel guests they have that day, and there are not many options for street parking nearby. Luckily, we reminded the guests to carpool and they did not have issues with the number of parking spots. The plated menu was excellent and the guests really enjoyed the entrées and the bar. They have a large dancefloor and stage and the complimentary photo booth was also superb in quality.
I opted to use one of the two complimentary nights to stay the night before the wedding to set up for the tea ceremony in the suite and to set up decorations outside of the ballroom. Cheyenne also provided us with a locked meeting room so that we could store our materials there. The suite was spacious and my bridesmaids and I were able to get ready there in the morning and conduct the tea ceremony and door games in the suite as well. We were also able to do our first look in the outdoor area outside of the ballroom.
I would highly recommend this venue and their team for your wedding! -

Although we had originally hired Westin Wall Centre, we decided to cancel 60 days and changed our wedding plans as we had originally plan to have 120 guests, but due to COVID-19, we could not have more than 50 people. Nick, the sales associate was very accommodating and replied to our emails very promptly. We were able to get our money back under force majeure. Westin Wall Centre is a very beautiful hotel, and the reception room was very big and spacious! I was also looking forward to having the presidential suite as it was given if you hit a certain amount! Will definitely recommend! -

We are glad to have chosen Westin Wall Centre as the venue for our recent wedding. The wedding packages they have are well worth the money spent and the accommodation in the Presidential suite was superb. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our event went smoothly and that our stay was comfortable. We would highly recommend Westin Wall Centre to any couples getting married! -

I could not be more pleased with my wedding at the Westin Wall Centre! From the very beginning, management was incredibly accommodating with all of our requests and made sure we were happy with our selections. They were really organized, and everything went off without a hitch. I have also gotten so many compliments from my guests on how friendly and efficient the staff were and how amazing the food was at our wedding. The service was really second to none.
Needless to say, this hotel really goes above and beyond to make sure their wedding couples have a once in a lifetime experience. It’s a great venue, that allows you to comfortably have your ceremony and reception all in one place. And the staff were ready with a lot of excellent add-ons to enhance our event package (the penthouse suite is incredible - perfect to do bride/bridesmaid hair and makeup!).
I would highly recommend this venue to other couples! The central location makes it easy for guests to get to, and you won’t have to worry about a thing once your special day arrives! Thanks to the Westin for everything! -

The Westin Wall Centre was professional and accommodating to help us through the wedding planning process. The value was exceptional and we were very happy with the overall process! Location-wise was good for us as we lived in Richmond, but accessibility and parking (covered for guests) was much easier than if it had been downtown Vancouver. If we were to do it again (hypothetically, of course), we would definitely choose Westin Wall Centre again!
