Stunning venue! But be preppared!

We had our wedding here a weekend ago, and it truly was a stunning venue! All of our guests commented on how magical the space felt, and we absolutely loved being there. That said, there are a few things I think couples should be aware of when considering this venue.

The venue does not have cell service, so if having phone service or internet access is important to you or your guests, I would definitely give everyone a heads-up ahead of time. Honestly, for us, it ended up being really nice because people weren’t on their phones as much, but it’s something to be prepared for.

If you are planning to get married here without a wedding planner, I would strongly recommend understanding how hands-off the venue is. There are quite a few additional costs and responsibilities that are not included in the venue rental price. For example, we were responsible for replacing trash bags ourselves, and things like sound systems and heaters are separate costs.
The venue does have a representative on standby in case you have questions, but they are not there to help with décor setup, cleanup, or other wedding-day tasks. You are also expected to have the venue very tidy before the gates close at 1 a.m. Because of this, I would highly recommend hiring additional help or making sure you have friends and family who are genuinely willing to help with cleanup at the end of the night.
For the cost of the venue, and not having those things included it did feel quite expensive to us. However, the venue itself is undeniably beautiful.

There is also a damage deposit on top of the event insurance that you are required to purchase for a wedding here. We did not receive our full damage deposit back. Only a small sum was kept from the total, which isn’t a huge deal, but we were not given a clear explanation as to why it was withheld. We decided not to pursue it further, but I would recommend asking about the process and expectations beforehand.

I would also recommend getting everything in writing and making sure you have very clear communication with your venue coordinator. For example, we initially asked whether we could leave a car at the venue overnight and were told very clearly that this was not allowed. However, when we asked again during our rehearsal, we were told that one car could stay overnight as long as it was picked up before 8 a.m. This change affected our cleanup plans, so having clear and consistent information ahead of time would have made things easier.

The bathrooms were kept tidy throughout the night, which was great, and umbrellas are available at the venue if needed.
Overall, this venue is absolutely stunning and provided such a beautiful and magical setting for our wedding.

That being said, I would strongly recommend it for couples who are comfortable being very hands-on with planning and coordinating the details of their day, or who have a wedding planner, coordinator, or plenty of friends and family willing to help.

If you are looking for a venue where the staff will handle setup, cleanup, and many of the little details for you, this may not be the best fit. But if you are prepared for the extra responsibilities and additional fees, the beauty of the venue really is something special!

Beautiful wedding venue.

The Valley is such a beautiful venue, and they’re easy to work with. We had a wonderful wedding and would absolutely recommend this location. Things you should know if you’re considering a wedding here:
-You get the venue from 9:30am-1am for your day only. This works great if you want minimal decor because the venue is gorgeous on its own already, but if you want lots of table arrangements, etc., then getting this all set up ahead of time can be stressful.
-It’s far away from major communities/hotels. There’s one hotel nearby in Pigeon Lake, but it got booked up over 2 years before our date, so we had to arrange for shuttle buses to drive to Leduc (~50 minute drive). It makes the logistics more challenging, but you can definitely work around it if you’re coordinated.
-You’re paying for the beauty of the venue itself rather than “built-in” services. The venue takes care of tables and chairs, but you need to figure out all other aspects on your own (caterer, bartender, drinks, food, music, etc.). There are also a lot of “add-ons” like sound system, heating lamps that you can use but they’re all for extra money. You’ll be hard pressed to do a wedding for

August 2026 Wedding

Our August wedding at The Valley Weddings was truly perfect. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was the place where we wanted to celebrate with our family and friends, and it exceeded every expectation.

The venue is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and a layout that made the entire day flow seamlessly. We especially loved the bridal and groom suites — having dedicated spaces to get ready and spend time with our wedding party made the day feel relaxed and stress-free.

The Valley offers the perfect balance of elegance and comfort, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything was. It truly is a timeless venue and made for the most stunning photos. The team was also wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. ✨

We genuinely wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day. If you’re looking for a venue that is beautiful, well thought out, and provides an incredible experience from start to finish, we can’t recommend The Valley Weddings enough! 🤍

Summer 2026

The Valley is the most beautiful wedding venue in Alberta. Stunning outdoor venue that can’t be beaten overall, we had a beautiful sunny day and some rain in the evening in the dance floor. The rain honestly made the dance floor that much more special! Loved working with the valley team to make sure our day was perfect

The Most Magical Venue

The Valley is the most magical venue to get married in! The moment we saw it, we just knew that this was our place. The timber glass structure alone is breathtaking. The women’s and men’s getting ready quarters are adorable and the bartending hut is perfect. There are two ceremony sites to pick from and each of them are stunning! Danielle and Mariah were so easy to work with and answered all of my questions super quick. They were incredible to work with! Thank you so much for having us! We loved our wedding!

The Perfect Outdoor Venue

We got married at The Valley in September of 2024 and would 100% recommend this venue if you’re looking for an outdoor, fairly tale kinda vibe. The venue is surrounded by trees and nature and it is so beautiful no matter where you’re standing.
The bridal suite and groom suite are perfect for getting ready in, the ceremony area is simple and stunning and can be decorated as much or as little as you want, and the reception area is absolutely gorgeous at night and has everything you could need!

The entire team is a dream to work with, so much kindness and clarity and communication. They had excellent vendor recommendations for anything we needed and were very easy to get in touch with whenever some questions came up.

Would absolutely recommend ☺️
