Lavender Ridge Farm is a private countryside wedding venue just outside Ottawa, Ontario, where natural beauty meets relaxed elegance and couples have the freedom to make their wedding truly their own. Nestled within 80 acres of mature forest, picturesque lavender fields, and expansive countryside views, the property features historic farm buildings and a beautiful timber-frame barn set within a private forest clearing. With exclusive use of the venue, couples can choose their own caterer and purchase their own alcohol, while we provide professional bartending service. This flexible approach gives you greater choice and control over your wedding day.
Facilities and Capacity
Lavender Ridge Farm accommodates weddings of up to 100 guests, with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces for every part of your celebration. Your day can begin in our private Getting-Ready Suite before exchanging vows among the lavender, beneath the apple tree, or inside the timber-frame barn. Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy cocktails on the string-lit patio before dinner and dancing beneath the barn's soaring timber beams and warm ambient lighting. The property also features an inviting outdoor fire area with seating, lawn games, on-site parking, permanent washrooms, and numerous scenic locations for wedding photographs.
Services Offered
We provide the venue, furnishings, and thoughtful details to help bring your wedding together, including French bistro chairs, banquet and cocktail tables, white tablecloths, ceremony seating, a reclaimed timber arbour, LED candles, fairy lights, a Bluetooth speaker, wireless microphone, and more. Your rental also includes Smart Serve-certified bartending and end-of-night décor teardown, along with a one-hour ceremony rehearsal during the week leading up to your wedding.

Bring your own caterer and purchase your own alcohol without being tied to an exclusive caterer or beverage package. The Perfect Venue for Our Wedding Day
The venue owners, Tania, Dave, and Feddie, were an absolute delight to work with. They were quick to answer questions, so accommodating, and even helped us wrap things up at the end of the night. After having a terrible experience elsewhere, their support truly meant the world to us.
We’d highly recommend this venue. It fit within our budget, had great amenities (with even more improvements on the way as it’s a newer venue), and offered incredible spots for photos. Every time we visited, we noticed upgrades, so it can only get better from here.
A quick note: this is a mostly DIY-style venue. If you’re not the type to enjoy planning or organizing vendors, I’d suggest hiring a wedding planner. Personally, I loved having the freedom to choose all the details and decorate on my own, it made the day even more personal.
No complaints at all. We highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a flexible, beautiful, and welcoming place to celebrate their wedding.
Beautiful venue
We had the most incredible experience at Lavender ridge farm for our wedding! The farm is absolutely stunning — from the lavender fields and charming barn to the beautifully maintained patio, every corner offered the perfect backdrop for our special day. It truly felt like something out of a fairytale.
What made it even more special were the owners, particularly Tania! They were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. From the first visit to the day of the wedding, they were always available to answer questions, offer helpful suggestions, and go above and beyond to accommodate our needs. You can really tell they care about what they do and the couples they host.
If you're looking for a venue that combines natural beauty with heartfelt hospitality, I can’t recommend Lavender ridge farm enough. It was everything we dreamed of and more!
