The best decision we made was booking Hillside as our wedding venue!! Being able to spend the whole weekend in the mountains with our loved ones was exactly what we were looking for. The property was beautiful and had everything we needed already on site. The cabins were clean and cozy, the barn was perfect for the reception, and the views from the ceremony/ the fields of wildflowers were gorgeous. We also can’t say enough good things about the owners! Stef and Mark were so kind and easy going. They made the entire planning process simple and stress free. We truly could not have asked for a better wedding weekend and we can’t wait to come back in the winter to stay in the cabins :)

We booked Hillside for our wedding 2 years ago, without ever seeing the venue. We booked it based off of some photos and the idea that we could spend the entire weekend with our friends and family. When we arrived the day before the wedding, we were blown away. This place is pure magic. The owners are so kind. The fact that you have access to the entire property for the weekend is mind blowing - it has everything you need and more! The view for the ceremony was stunning, the barn was beautiful, the cabins are super cute and the BBQ area was awesome. Our guests can't stop talking about this venue. -

We got married at Hillside this past August (2022) and can’t recommend it enough. Stef and Mark are incredible to work with, and the venue is stunning! We really wanted a ‘weekend venue’ where friends and family can stay on site, and have a bbq the evening before our wedding. We love the mountains so it was also important to us to have a scenic outdoor ceremony. Stef and Mark also made great vendor recommendations, and since all of the vendors work together so frequently, they ran such a well oiled machine all knowing each other and working together! We had SO many compliments on our venue choice and people asking how we found this hidden gem. You will not regret having your wedding at Hillside!! -

Beautiful little cabin in the mountains !!!
Awesome little place to stay . The cabins are so cute . So clean !!
Staff is wonderful respond right away . We booked a large cabin as everything was booked. They emailed me and changed it to a smaller cabin for 2 . -

They wouldn’t allow us to pick a new year when Covid shut it down. After much back and forth agreed to give back HALF our deposit if someone rebooked on our date. They couldn’t even honor that. Someone rebooked on our date- they posted it on their Instagram page and they still didn’t give back part of our deposit. -

Stefanie & Mark were incredible! So accommodating. We had our wedding the Canada Day long weekend. The venue was everything we could have dreamed of. We rented the plank wood tables - best decision we made - it helped bring the vibe we were going for our reception. The cabins were so cozy and all of our guests still keep talking about the weekend. We loved spending time with family and Friends BBQ and by the fire pits the day after the wedding! We hope to rent out the cabins with family and friends in the future!! -

Hillside Lodge and Chalet's is an incredible venue for a wedding. We had our wedding there on September 15, 2018, and every aspect was magical. The owners, Stefanie and Mark are incredibly kind, caring, and attentive. We were able to come for not 1, but 2 tours of the venue prior to the wedding. For the actual wedding, it truly is a one stop shop. We were able to have our rehearsal dinner there using the Campfire and BBQ's they had on site and we could set up the reception area the night before. They have multiple cozy cabins, a greenspace for tents and a few trailer areas along with a spectacular honeymoon cabin, so we were able to stay onsite, and our close friends/immediate family/wedding party could stay on site with us the entire weekend. Each cabin has a wood burning fireplace, and they have the cutest little furniture with heart accents cut into the chairs. They have a bridal suite onsite which you can use to get ready which was so handy. They have a stunning ceremony site which overlooks the magestic turquoise blue Blaeberry river, and has an impressive mountain in the distance. Pine trees surround you and their fresh scent sweetens the air of the entire area. Hillside has a path that leads down the river and includes multiple stunning areas for photographs, meaning you don't have to leave the site to obtain absolutely stunning pictures. The reception barn is a short walk up the road, so you can go straight from the ceremony to the reception barn. The barn is spacious and has beautiful touches such as chandelier lights, flush toilet bathrooms outside and a campfire pit right outside. Hillside also has multiple contacts within the wedding vendor community, and they all work so well together to create a seamlessly smooth wedding experience. Overall, the beauty of this venue, the attentiveness of the owners to detail and the ability to have everything at one location made this venue absolutely perfect for our wedding. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stunning outdoor venue for their wedding. -

Hillside Lodges & Chalets- Magical Mountain Wedding
Hillside Lodge & Chalets was an incredible wedding venue for our rustic yet classic wedding. The location is absolutely stunning- close to Golden and amenities yet surrounded by tranquility and beauty. The scenery is so surreal, in our photos the mountain backdrop looks like a green screen! The location and buildings were so beautiful, we didn't really feel the need to decorate. The lodging was cozy, well maintained and accommodated all of our many family members. We appreciated all of the amenities available for all of the weekend's events.
The hosts, Stefanie and Mark, could not have been more personable, hospitable and helpful right from the start. Stef was very attentive to all of my questions, and provided guidance and support for things I hadn't even considered. During the weekend, they were always available but never in the way. They handled the various needs of our family and guests which put me at ease.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hillside to anyone looking for a beautiful mountain wedding venue! -

The best! We couldn’t have picked a better place to tie the knot !
Our weekend wedding at hillside was absolutely amazing. It was just perfect having the whole weekend with family and friends. We never felt rushed so there was lots of time to soak in all those beautiful moments. Stephanie and family are lovely hosts. They don’t micro manage but are very responsive if you need anything. The scenery can’t be beat either! We highly recommend this venue. -
