The story of our wedding

We got engaged on a sunny Saturday in August during a picnic, with a gorgeous view of the downtown skyline. It was such a sweet, peaceful moment, just the two of us, completely present and in love.

Our wedding took place in the city, with stunning river valley views and 120 of our favourite people around us. The space was glowing with fairy lights, and everything felt like a dream. We chose to use traditional vows, but the emotion in the room made it feel incredibly personal. My husband was happy-crying from the moment I walked down the aisle; he could barely hold it together, and honestly, neither could I.

After I changed into my second dress, we slipped away for sunset photos. That quiet time together, just the two of us with the city in the background, was my favourite moment of the day. Oh, and somewhere in the middle of it all, I chopped my hair short, which was such a fun and spontaneous highlight!

We ended the night exactly how we’d hoped: dancing together the entire time, surrounded by love. It was everything we dreamed of and more.
