The story of our wedding

We got married under the Disney theme. Our wedding party members were dressed in different colours (in shades of mauve, blue to turquoise) and for girls with different dresses. Preparations were very traditional, in fact I was getting ready at my parents house and my husband got ready at his home and we did not sleep together the evening before the ceremony.

We hired our photographer for the whole day so we could take photos with each side of our family before the ceremony, I was at the Nation River in Casselman and my husband in La Rose in Bourget. Our wedding was in the afternoon at the church of Bourget. After the ceremony the guests were invited to move in to the reception room to enjoy the cocktail hour and meanwhile, the family and the wedding party moved up towards the bike path to take formal photos.

In the reception room there were hints of different Disney movies and each table had its movie (Head Table was Aladdin, for the guests The Little Mermaid, Lion King, Mulan, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Winnie the Pooh, Rebel and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and the cake table was Cinderilla). There was also a Disney Castle photobooth and other Disney-inspired decor. We had a great time dancing, singing and enjoying the moment as newlyweds.
