Maria and her team at Turquoise Films were one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding. We were wary of "cheesy" wedding videos, after seeing so many of them on other videographers' sites, so when we came across Turquoise, we were really impressed. The videos seemed professional, tasteful, and just beautiful. Then we met Maria herself! She was a pleasure to work with and was really receptive to our needs. On the wedding day itself, Maria and her team were excellent. They captured all the best moments while being pretty much "invisible". And the video itself turned out amazingly. The editing, the music, everything was perfect - everyone who watched it couldn't help but get emotional. We also got all the raw footage for a small fee. The video was ready way sooner than we had expected (within a few weeks of the wedding) and a short while later copies were delivered in a beautiful box that even contained some photos from the night as an added touch. We highly recommend Turquoise films to anyone who wants a friendly, professional, and talented videographer who doesn't charge through the roof and delivers a fantastic product.

Maria is an absolute GENIUS! Not only was she so easy to get along with, but she captured all the amazing moments and more of our special day. We wanted someone who wasn't in our face constantly with a camera so that we could enjoy ourselves, and Maria was like a Ninja - it was perfect! Watching our highlight film we didn't even know she had captured some of those scenes! The emotion and fun we had all day came through in our highlight film, and even watching our speeches it was great to see the different reactions of our family and friends. Maria is unparalleled. I simply dare someone to try and top her. That may sound hyperbolic but it's sincerely the truth. She's overwhelmingly good. I was the typical male who rolled his eyes at the possible intrusion of being filmed on my wedding day. Not only was she soft spoken and not the least bit intrusive but the end result was astonishingly wonderful. A + and then some.

Maria is not like the ‘big box’ companies that you see crashing through the wedding industry with the sole purpose of raking in as much cash as possible. Rather, she has the soul purpose of capturing your lives within the span of a day; your style, your personality, the relationships you have with your family and friends, the way it all blends as you join two families, and most of all, the love and partnership between you and the one you love. Sound intense? Wait until you get your video. You really will look back and realize how lucky you are to have those moments (some of which you completely missed!) captured perfectly on tape.

The process leading up to the wedding is easy and once you’ve had the big day, she gets your finished product back to you super-fast. We were the last of about 5 major weddings between our friends and we got our video first….in a beautiful, personalized package. In fact, after seeing our video, all of our friends regretted not having found her too!

I must say, we weren’t even sure we wanted or needed a video – but when we decided we did, it took us a long time to find our videographer since we surely didn’t want the ‘standard’ video with all the same shots as everyone else where we could have been anybody. We wanted a witness to a special moment in our lives, something to reflect our colours and quirks, our families, our love. To put it simply, Maria is a truly genuine human being with a beautiful (old) soul and this is what you will receive through her work. Trust me when I say; you will be very glad that you chose her.

We were blown away by the true talent of Maria at Turquois Films. We decided very last minute that we wanted to have video at our wedding, and now that is the first thing I recommend to engaged couples. I really cannot imagine not having our beautiful highlight film and speeches/ceremony footage to remember the details of our day. Maria and her assistant were relaxed and made everyone feel comfortable by just blending into the background and catching the real and genuine moments of our day. Nothing felt forced or fake, which I was afraid of as I have been really turned off by videographers at other weddings who get in the way of everything to "get the shot" with obnoxious lights etc, or stage all the forced footage. To top it all off, the unbelievable service and product we received was incredibly good value compared to the other "big-name" videographer companies in Toronto, and I looked around A LOT. Maria was so professional and responsive, and really wanted to understand what we feel we wanted in our video. We can't imagine anyone else capturing our day like Maria did, and putting it together in the artistic, unique and heartfelt way that she did. It was obvious she poured herself into our video and went so beyond our expectations - we will forever be grateful for the memoir and highly recommend her company.
