About Paper Heart Films
All films have a story because every couple has a story. Chelsea Kanstrup and Bryan Smith believe that your personalities should leap off the film and show your story naturally. While filming, the duo tries to film from the perspective of your great-grandchildren watching your film many years later. The beauty of film is that it captures a piece of time and saves it for you to view another time. The film style is a mix of cinematic, documentary, short form, and most of all, storytelling. Chelsea and Bryan also offer films for small businesses, non-profits, and families.
Chelsea Kanstrup is the founder, as well as the cinematographer and editor. She has seven years of experience filming weddings (and yet still cries at every ceremony). While she likes capturing the pretty wedding decorations, she focuses on the newlyweds’ marriage. Bryan Smith is the other cinematographer. He’s gotten more training and more experience filming weddings alongside Chelsea. Now, the two are now engaged and have been together for seven years. Due to being quick, sneaky, and silent while filming, the two have been given the term “wedding ninjas” as well. Both cinematographers are calm and supportive, eager to make your day perfect.
The two offer full day wedding coverage. An elopement package is also offered. However, custom packages are more than welcome to perfect your needs. In addition, videos are available in high-definition. A highlight video is available, along with a slideshow and multiple cameras. The cinematographers’ work is also liability insured. Your video is given to you through a DVD.
The two are based in Victoria. But Chelsea and Bryan absolutely love traveling. If you have a wedding elsewhere in Canada or internationally (especially Paris), let them know.

What a wonderful company. In the past I've seen a lot of cheesy and tacky wedding videos and I didn't want a videographer at all. After seeing the work that Paper Heart does, my opinion completely changed. I know for a lot of people videography isn't a necessity and it gets cut from the budget. After receiving my film I couldn't imagine not having it. Chelsea and Bryan are so wonderful to work with and it was incredible how they were able to capture so many incredible and personal moments without being intrusive. I forgot that they were even there a lot of the time. I highly recommend Paper Heart Films.
