We were recommended by several sources to speak to Katie Ley to help with our “day of” wedding tasks! We met Katie and instantly knew that she was our gal! Polished, professional and oh so lovely! We were married in October, 2020 after a postponement from June due to restrictions. It was quite a ride through the ups and downs, date changes, number of guests changing, along with all the other details involved with a wedding! But Katie rode the waves with us calmly, patiently and supportive. Instead of being our day of person, she was our year of person! There was nothing too much for her....she offered her assistance in so many ways but mostly for me as a sounding board...Someone to bounce ideas off of and give an honest opinion! She has been in the business for many years and is an expert in her field. Ask anyone in the business and you will hear “Katie...yes she’s awesome”! Katie was an absolute dream to have plan our wedding. From the time we met her to the time of our wedding, it was seamless. She is kind, nice, thoughtful, super prepared and easy to get along with. Everything with our wedding seemed to be going great until Covid-19 hit and everything went up in the air. Katie was always positive and there to help and listen when we didn’t know what to do with our wedding. When we decided to continue with our wedding (cutting our guest list from 230 to 9 people and changing our venue), Katie supported us through that decision and was there to help us continue with our plans.

Leading up to the wedding, Katie provided input into vendors and took charge of dealing with all of the vendors, scheduling, and easing any of our concerns. Katie dealt with all of the last-minute details (picking up flowers and taking them to the cake maker, printing out our vows on beautiful paper etc.), and was always there if we texted her asking for help, which allowed us to enjoy the weeks and days leading up to the wedding.

On the wedding day, Katie arrived early with a smile on her face ready to help and organize (and she brought pastries for everyone too). Katie helped with everything! She helped hang flowers garlands, set up seating, pinned table cloths so they wouldn’t fly off, she brought her own weight for a table we were using outdoors (it was windy) and more. She always seemed to be one step ahead. My mom hasn’t stopped telling people about how much she helped and how she always seemed to know exactly what needed to be done before anyone else did. Katie came super prepared with garden shears, scissors, glue to put the vows in cards I had made, and even hand lotion that I only asked for 30 minutes before the ceremony started because my hands were swollen from the heat and we were worried about getting my ring on. Who knows what else she brought with her but I’m assuming she had it because she was so well prepared.

Katie stayed until the end of the night and helped tidy up and send my husband and I off. My mom couldn't believe when she went upstairs after everyone left and the carpet we used for the ceremony was put back exactly where it came from...I can't remember if anyone actually told her where it came from but she was figured it out!

We cannot thank Katie enough for everything she did for us and the service she provided. She is one of a kind and we would refer her to anyone looking for a kind, smart, very well prepared, hard worker like Katie to plan their wedding or event. We promise you that you will not be disappointed with your decision.

Katie did a fantastic job helping us with our special day. Thanks to Katie, we both managed to remain calm and relaxed with the knowledge that we were in safe hands. We trusted her for all her recommendations of makeup artist, photographer, caterer etc. She was on site since the early morning of our big day, making sure everything was on track behind the scene. Everyone commented the décor by DEBUT was spectacular, food and free flow of cocktails and wines were awesome. Our celebrant also appreciated the meticulous timelines she made. We’d definitely recommend such a professional wedding planner to couples who want a magical wedding!

By far the best decision we made in planning our wedding was hiring Katie. We selected the wedding takeover package and Katie was incredible, going above and beyond in every step along the way. We first spoke to Katie through a zoom call and immediately got a positive vibe from her. It was a very collaborative experience, with Katie being open to our suggestions and providing great recommendations and advice where needed. She is very professional, incredibly organized and extremely reliable, which we thought was critical. Leading up to the wedding, Katie took over coordinating with all our vendors, ran our ceremony rehearsal and also prepared a very detailed wedding day schedule which she shared with all the vendors. All of this made us feel very at ease as we knew exactly how the day was going to go and that Katie was going to be there throughout to help execute. On the wedding day, Katie actively communicated with us and ensured everything went according the plan. In the morning, Katie arrived at both getting ready locations before heading to the venue to oversee the set up. Throughout the wedding day, Katie had a very calm demeanour despite all the things was responsible for on the wedding day. This was very calming for us and really allowed us to be present and enjoy the day as much as possible. Our families and friends all had amazing things to say about Katie – she is truly a master of her craft. We can’t thank Katie enough for making our day so special and stress free! Thank you, Katie!!

Katie went above and beyond for my wedding and for that I am truly grateful. Our venue didn't have cucumber juice so she went ahead and made it herself (without me asking)! She made planning so easy and was so supportive in every way. She understands your wants and needs and recommends vendors accordingly. Whatever needed to get done, Katie and her team got done. Our day was seamless, stress-free and so beautiful and I couldn't have done it without Katie. I highly recommend Katie and Co to anyone planning a wedding.
