Evelyn was recommended to me by a friend in the wedding industry. I was very particular about who I wanted to design the decor of our wedding and knew that I couldn’t choose just anyone. I was looking for someone who was detail-oriented and creative, personable, trustworthy, and someone who I would easily connect with. Immediately upon meeting Evelyn, I knew with certainty that she was the one! She was so easy to talk to, warm and inviting, and was impressively knowledgeable. The mood board she created based off our initial phone conversation was so spot on and exactly what I had envisioned. Fast forward to when Covid hit, there was so much uncertainty but Evelyn always remained calm and was the voice of reason that I needed. She provided her professional opinion when making the decision to postpone several times but always did so in an understanding and caring way. It truly felt as if I was talking to my mom or sister when having these emotional calls, she wanted what was best for us.

Over the years she helped plan not 1 but 3 weddings, each of which were in a different location at a different venue. Throughout this time, Evelyn was always available to chat and provide reassurance, and she consistently managed to check in and make sure that we were doing okay. Covid was a challenging time for everyone, especially as a business owner, yet Evelyn genuinely wanted us to have a positive wedding planning experience. That’s what makes her so special.

Finally, we were able to have our long awaited reception a few weeks ago in Kelowna, and seeing everything come together made the wait so worth it. Evelyn was extremely organized all weekend and somehow (as type A of a person as I am), I have never been so relaxed. The day was perfect, everything was executed flawlessly, and everyone had an incredible night. We even had to do a room change the night before the wedding because of a spacing issue with the venue but Evelyn dealt with it beautifully and no one would ever have known of the last minute change. I felt calm knowing that Evelyn had it under control! Everything she did was behind the scenes and any changes or issues were dealt with before I ever needed to find out. She put me at ease, and ensured that I fully enjoyed my wedding day. And I did! It was truly the best day of our lives! The saddest part now is that it’s over and that I won’t be able to look forward to our virtual and in person meetings and email chats. I do however believe that in this process not only did I have an incredible wedding planner, but I gained a friend. Evelyn will always hold a special place in my heart because even though Covid ruined a few weddings along the way, this 3 year wedding planning process ended up being pretty damn amazing! So in summary, if you are wondering if you should hire her, I’m telling you to do it!

My husband and I used Evelyn for our wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Our wedding was a dream come true and truly the best day of our lives, ALL in thanks to Evelyn! My husband and I had a wonderful experience using Evelyn Clark Weddings this past Fall. Even though I am an organized and creative person who enjoyed planning our wedding and booking the vendors, I really wanted someone to help me out in those last few weeks and months before the big day so that I could better enjoy the busy time leading up to the wedding. Because let's face it - the bride does most of the planning and organizing leading up to the wedding day, and no matter how helpful your husband-to-be, friends or family are, sometimes you just need some neutral back-up! With the Wedding Day Management package, we received great advice on any vendors we were still struggling with finding, and answers to any questions we had about details or items we hadn't figured out yet in terms of planning. Two months before the wedding, Evelyn Clark Weddings was there to review all of our contracts with vendors and catch anything we had missed, or forgotten about - dates we needed to make decisions by with the venue, payment dates, and a couple things we hadn't even thought of! When things got really hairy in those last few weeks, it was very helpful to have someone calling around to confirm things during the day, while I was at work and unable to spend much time on it. We always received prompt communication on things and helpful suggestions and advice. I was also able to totally relax about the organization and management portion of our wedding day, knowing that there was someone there to take care of that on my behalf. I didn't need to decorate my venue the morning of my wedding, find people and explain that one last thing to them, or have to answer questions about anything from the food and beverage manager at the venue - Evelyn Clark Weddings took care of all that and more. We worked with Evelyn for our wedding on October 6, 2012. We booked her 'month-of' coordination, which is a fantastic service. She was there for us the month before our wedding, confirming final details with all of our vendors and answering any and all questions we had about seating plan, timeline, family portraits, rehearsal, etc. Our DJ cancelled on us 4 days before our wedding and Evelyn had a new DJ lined up for us within hours, which was no small feat considering our wedding was on a long weekend. The day of our wedding was perfect as we didn't have to worry about any of the details and knew she would have everything under control.
