    Very successful month-of wedding coordination!

    Worked with Mary-Margaret for month-of wedding coordination for my event in early August and was very happy with my choice to bring on a planner! Mary was very committed to helping me organize my physical decorations prior to the wedding and made detailed timelines that she oversaw the day of the wedding. Honestly could not have gotten through the day without her! She made sure everything was set up before the event, flipped between the ceremony and reception, and saw to it that I didn't have to worry about anything the day of. She was also very flexible and relaxed when slight changes came up and adapted our timeline appropriately, ensuring all necessary parties were looped in on communications.

    Great Service

    My wife and I hired Mary and her assistant as our month of coordinator and I would highly recommend! We met several times leading up to the wedding to do a bit of a transition, so on the day of I was able to leave my watch and phone at home and be purely in the moment on the day. Our wedding was also not at an "all-inclusive" wedding venue, so there were a lot of different vendors to manage for set up and tear down. They even helped run an offsite errand to pickup a Mcdonald's midnight snack order! Overall, our day was a complete breeze thanks to Mary and her assistant Brea.

    A Must-Have for your Wedding!

    I can't say enough good things about Mary-Margaret and Breanne. We used Collective Creations to run the wedding rehearsal and for day-of coordination, and their services were one of the best things I spent money on!
    Mary-Margaret and Breanne are so professional and experienced, that I had complete confidence that the day would flow smoothly, and any issue would be handled without me even knowing about it. They have a solution for everything. It was so clear how much care they both put into the event and made sure I was as stress-free as possible.
    The day was truly perfect, and I know if Mary-Margaret and Breanne weren't involved, things wouldn't have gone as smoothly. From setting up decor, coordinating with vendors, queueing the ceremony, managing timing of speeches, and ensuring a smooth tear-down, everything was so well thought-out and executed. They are truly masters behind the scenes.

    Save yourself the headache!

    Mary-Margaret was not my first option for a month-of coordinator. Rebecca and Petals and Pearls came highly recommended from our photographers, but unfortunately they were booked. I first heard of Collective Creations through a wedding show. I booked a meeting with Mary-Margaret and she was initially late for our consultation on Google Meet. Although late, she seemed knowledgeable having past event experience in festivals but she didn’t have much wedding experience showcased online. At the time of talking in March, none of my vendors had heard of her and she had a few photos on Instagram. That was it. My biggest mistake was booking with a startup company.

    We scheduled another Google Meet in April where she was 10 minutes late. Her excuse was that she was getting a drink downstairs. The punctuality did not improve from there. She was also extremely late for our rehearsal at the Church. Mary-Margaret struggled to remember facts about our contracts. I would have to remind her who was who and what the information said. On the day of the wedding she insisted that she could not help our photographer with the shotlist after the ceremony because once I walked down the aisle her and her assistant would head to the reception to set everything up. They did not provide split coverage. During our couple photos and private vows, Mary-Margaret called me 4 times. She complained to my maid of honour that I wasn’t picking up my phone.

    From 1:30pm-6:30pm, Mary-Margaret and her assistant were at the reception venue to set up. Upon our first look of the venue, I realized Mary-Margaret did nothing and I got scammed out of $1500. She requested all of our vendors' contracts to review them one month prior to the wedding. That was not done. We had the incorrect size of stage given to us as per our contract, which then did not allow for our pie stand to fit. She did not correct this issue. We were also missing a clear acrylic podium from our venue contract, a clear acrylic stand from one of our furniture rental contracts, the dj booth was not set up in the correct location as per our venue contract, and our sparklers were not installed in the correct place as per that contract. The seating chart was also not put out during cocktail hour. When we asked why she said “the guests are crowding around it and some of them are trying to come in so we put it away”. I was blown away! She took away the seating chart away from my guests because some of them were trying to peep in the room. Due to all of the issues I listed above, it took the venue an extra 30 minutes to fix, causing our cocktail hour to run longer. Unfortunately it was too late for the stage to be fixed because Mary-Margaret never said anything about it at the time it wasn’t decorated.

    Due to our 30 minute delay, we wanted speeches done asap. She told us that the kitchen would not serve or take away food during speeches due to the noise. The Maître D's informed us that Mary-Margaret wanted it done that way and that is when I got even more upset that she was now lying to us. So we started speeches without her, and she came up to me and said she has experience doing it this way and I said “what experience”. At this point I was so annoyed with her lack of professionalism by always being late, bothering us during our photoshoot and not following the contracts she was given that her “experience” seemed like a joke. She said “ok” and never spoke to me again. A few of our vendors let us know that she was complaining about us at their table. Very professional!

    Do yourself a favour and don’t hire Mary-Margaret at Collective Creations. We had a great group of vendors and our wedding coordinator was the worst one! She was unprofessional, has a bad attitude, and is very rude when speaking to people. There are so many wonderful and talented wedding planners and coordinators out there with glowing reviews after years and years of experience. Mary-Margaret charges more than these reputable companies with her going rate being $2200 for a month of coordinator. I got a discount - not worth it!

    Truly, the best day-of coordinator we could have asked for!

    Breanne assisted us as a day-of coordinator at our wedding in Burlington on Sept. 10, 2022, She was prompt, professional, kind, proactive, and fun. She had excellent ideas and input and was game to help with whatever was needed. When things did not go as planned (hello, no AC in the limo lol) she helped us stay on track and made our day so enjoyable for us and our guests. I had planned and gathered a lot of decor for the reception and the way she set it all up exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Breanne, I was able to focus on being present with my future husband at the ceremony and visiting with my guests at the reception, both invaluable experiences. I cannot thank her and Collective Creations enough.

    The BEST event management team!

    I used Mary and her team for our outdoor wedding and they exceeded all expectations! Mary was always prompt to respond and I really felt like she was invested in my wedding which made me feel comfortable.

    She helped in creating a timeline, organizing and contacting all of our vendors, setting up and tearing down the event space and a million other things. But Most importantly the wedding went PERFECTLY! I even had my caterer and photographers make a point to say Mary and the team were the best coordinators they have worked with. I cant reccomend collective creations enough!!!

    10/10 would hire again!

    We couldn't imagine our wedding day without Mary's support. As our day of coordinator, she removed all of the stress of the day allowing us to make the most of our wedding with our guests. Beyond ensuring the day ran seamlessly, Mary also installed the flowers on our arch. We were absolutely blown away how talented she is! We can't thank Mary enough and would highly recommend her to any couple that is considering a day of coordinator.

    Amazing, professional and thoughtful!

    My husband and I 100% recommend Mary Margaret! She was a fantastic coordinator for our May 2022 wedding. I was 8.5 months pregnant on our special day and Mary Margaret took care of everything all by herself as her assistant at the time had Covid. She made our day stress free, from putting out our decor pieces, picking up flowers at the house on her way to the venue, packing away decor pieces that I wanted to keep, being on top of the servers and even started serving our guests because the venue was short staffed due to a weird hail storm that day, to making sure our reception schedule ran on time and smoothly. Mary Margaret was thoughtful and made sure I was comfortable throughout the day and even took the golf cart to pick me up from our photoshoot on the golf course so I wouldn’t have to walk back to the clubhouse! My mom and all my bridesmaids commented that Mary Margaret was really good and so helpful. We are glad we hired Mary Margaret and honestly love to work with her again.

    Highly Recommend her!

    Mary-Margaret was organized, prepared and professional. She was tentative to the couple and flexible in her services in order to deliver exactly what the couple asked for and more. Mary-Margaret was very personable and cared about the couple having a perfect day!
