Cara Mia Events

We worked with Cara for almost a year leading up to our wedding and it was great! The planning process proved to be quite overwhelming, at first. Once we hired Cara a weight had been lifted off of our shoulders. She took care of everything so that we were actually able to sit back and enjoy our day. There was no stress because we knew that she could and would handle anything that came her way. Some of the issues that Cara solved for us included...

- finding an officiant (with short notice)
- finding a baker (with short notice)
- sourcing affordable flower vendors (we had bud vase centrepieces to save money - which she arranged herself!)
- finding a dj (we hired her husband - great choice!)
- arranging a place setting for an unexpected guest

She was generally just awesome to work with and would be a great choice for any couple.

Cara helped plan my wedding. We had been working together since this March, and I got to say she's amazing. At the very beginning we were attracted by her super-competitive price, and after that she totally impressed us with her attitude and professonality.

She quickly grasped how we would like our wedding to be. Her connections with lots of excellent vendors (invitation designers, photographers, florists and cake designers) quickly put our wedding together. Since I and my wife had lots of difficulties in making decisions, she offered many constructive suggestions and in all cases she turned out to be right. That's what we mostly appreciated.

We also asked her to help us with our engagement shoot session. She's a very handy person and made a lot of accessories/gadgets for us at a fair price. She clearly put some thoughts in those things and made those things special to us.

On the wedding day she was there to make sure everything moved smoothly. I got to say no matter how perfectly you planned ahead there's always gonna be something going sideways on the day. I wont go into details about that but Cara handled unexpected situations very well. Her husband Tim, who is also a nice and charming person, worked as our DJ on that day and it turned our perfect.

We would definitely recommend Cara to anyone we know for wedding planning. You will find working with her very enjoyable and she definitely would make things much easier for you. We could not have our wedding worked out so perfectly without her help!

Cara is a fantastic wedding planner who worked so well with my husband and me. She was so organized and helped keep everything on track - I could not have done this without her! She had amazing ideas and really took the time to get to know us and our taste, so she was able to recommend things that we really liked, i.e. decor, vendors, etc. Our wedding was perfect, and we owe it to her!

Understanding, reliability, creativeness and staying on budget are great aspects Cara has incorporated in her wedding plan. Although we had a small and tight budget, Cara was able to deliver superb quality with a classy modern style within her given budget. She took on a financial challenge, some wedding planners were skeptic to make and turned it to a well-coordinated, exciting time of our lives. Cara dealt with all the vendor contracts and appointments, so it was carefree for my husband and I. We met occasionally, however she was available nearly 24/7 - that was one of the most amazing part of her service. She responded diligently both via text and email and answered questions promptly. Once meeting us, she was able to quickly identify our style and expressed our vision to our vendors then executed it wonderfully.

We are more than pleased with her service, and sure anyone who hires as their wedding planner will be extremely happy.

Cara Cassidy of Cara Mia was an essential part of making my wedding day, a day to remember. As all brides know, there are so many details involved in the vision of the big day it can be hard to trust someone to really help execute your plans. Cara went above my expectations to ensure that my day was not only a complete success, but EXACTLY how I envisioned it to be. She was so organized and efficient coordinating food services down to the timing of our meals (even ensuring the wait staff was still during speeches). She dealt with the D.J. and ministers, the entire set up and take down of the hall which was a massive undertaking due to the ornate details of our vintage wedding. She assisted with corrdinating family photos, and was there for even the slightest emergency like sewing a ribbon on a bridesmaid's dress. She was meticulous setting up each detail, and solving any last minute hiccup that arose, which is inevitable at any event. It really was a blessing to trust that she could handle any situation, and allowed my husband and I to focus on nothing but enjoying our moment with piece of mind. My husband and I are so happy to have forgone our original plan of coordinating the wedding on our own, and instead allowing a professional to execute our wedding.Through all of this, we have learned that it really is essential to have a knowlegable and trusted person to make your event run smoothly. I couldn't imagine being able to enjoy myself while having to deal with the responsibilities that Cara undertook. On top of it all,her fun easy going personality made us feel at ease through any situation, while still being assertive when advocating for our vision of the day. Hands down Cara is the best event planner out there...throughout my year of planning our wedding, I referred to her as my sanity! She was always there when I needed her and really brought all of our dreams to life. I had no intention on getting a wedding planner as I consider myself to be extremely organized and I enjoy planning...now looking back there is no way I could have pulled off such an amazing day without her. On the day of the wedding, she was there every second to make sure everything was running smoothly and on track. Because our family and wedding party already had important things that they needed to be doing, she was the one I could really count on for everything from taking my veil off, taking care of gifts, assisting guests, and much much more.
