Working with Kate was everything we could have wanted in a wedding photographer. Even outside the "work" stuff--the photos were perfect, Kate was professional, great communication, punctual--we also just had a blast. Kate is fun and lighthearted, and neither my husband nor I were particularly jazzed about having photos taken of us, but Kate managed to get us happy and relaxed being photographed, and it shows in all the pictures. Not exaggerating when I say she MADE our wedding day. Couldn't recommend her more.

First of all, Kate is an incredibly talented photographer. Not only is her work top notch but she is such a kind and lovely person which made for a fantastic experience for us!
Kate repeatedly went above and beyond for us – wading into the ocean in May for our engagement photos and braving dark and snowy mountain roads for our wedding in October! We never expected to feel so relaxed and at ease on our wedding day, Kate was so helpful at providing guidance through the planning beforehand and then keeping the day moving smoothly, along with being professional and hilarious the whole time. Our friends and families are still talking about how fun and easy to work with Kate was, and of course how beautifully all our photos turned out. Choosing Kate as our photographer was easily the best decision we could have made for our day, we could not be happier with out photos and would highly recommend her to anyone! 😍

Kate was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer. She did my older sister's wedding, so when my came along I knew exactly who to call! Kate was easy to talk with, genuine, thoughtful, professional, and so much fun. She brought such a full sense of the role of wedding photographer in her ability to organize and keep everything on track, as well as her sense of joy and camaraderie as she shared such a special, intimate day with our family.

Before the wedding all of our communications were done my email or phone, as I was living elsewhere during the planning. She was so easy to get in touch with and had many helpful insights to share as we planned the day - not just for photography! But for the day- of schedule, ideas on what to wear, makeup and hair that would suit our outdoor venue, and more. She also had us complete a few brief assignments about our preferences and style for the photographs. These were easy to do and so helpful, as it ensured we were all on the same page.

When the day finally arrived, it felt like Kate was part of the family! She had us laughing and knew just how to help. She captured the best moments, documenting the sweet behind the scenes shots, and made both my husband and I feel at ease throughout the day. She navigated the many family shots with patience and professionalism, not shying away from directing those that needed it or making sure everyone was in the right place! She really had a clear handle on the day, on what was most important and where my husband and I should be at different times. While planning our schedule she counselled us to take an hour in between the ceremony and dinner to have some sunset shots, and to just have some quieter time alone. At first I didn't think this was necessary, but trusted her judgement and experience. In the end, that time was so special. We got some lovely shots of those moments right after getting married, and had a very necessary break. We started the reception feeling refreshed and so excited to see everyone again. She even stayed late into the night to be part of the party and got some amazing shots of the dancing and mingling.

I have this favourite memory of taking pictures with the bridal party before the ceremony. We were on a board walk, with this really neat old wooden wall behind us. But the boardwalk wasn't wide enough to get the shot that she wanted...so Kate climbed up onto the railing, with the ocean feet below, balanced precariously with all of her gear, and got the perfect shot! Now that's dedication.

If I could do the whole day over again, I would chose Kate again in a heart beat!

We used Kate for our engagement photos and wedding photos. She is truly a talented photographer and captures beauty in everything. We hired Kate for the full wedding day... She captured fantastic family photos but also managed to capture the scenery, the venue and a variety of amazing candid moments. I have only positive things to say. Kate was reliable, easy to work with, arrived with a positive attitude and a sharp sense of humour. We were so happy with how our pictures turned out and will be using Kate again in the future as the need arises. Highly recommended.

Kate did a fantastic job of our wedding photos. Her editing skills are top notch, and her creativity was excellent. We particularly loved how she was able to create such stunning photos that incorporated a perfect balance of both our wedding and the natural beautifulness that is British Columbia, at times going to great (and difficult!) lengths to achieve this. Her prices were reasonable and her attitude was great.

From the first time that I met with Kate, I felt like we were old friends. She is a very warm, friendly, and energetic person. It's nice to feel comfortable with someone who will be included in some very special moments of your life!
Kate was certainly organized in gathering information about what styles and types of shots we wanted on the day, and she was always quick to return emails.
On our wedding day, Kate blended right in with the wedding party—sharing the laughs and deftly seeking out those little moments that I'm now so glad to have records of. I also appreciated how she made sure I had something to eat before arriving at the church! I was impressed by the attention she paid throughout the day.
Kate made sure to get every kind of photo we wanted and stayed as long as was needed at our reception. I'm sure it was a long day for her, but she was so dedicated in making sure the day was properly documented.
After the day, Kate was very conscientious in ensuring we had everything we wanted, and took time to give us multiple options of the shots that were memorable.
I'd recommend Kate to anyone. She also photographed my sister's wedding a year and half later, and we were equally impressed with the work she did there.

Kate is both an amazing photographer and person. She was straightforward and clear about her services, and also listened really well to us and what our hopes and visions for our special day were. She was easy to communicate with and was prompt in her responses. It was pouring rain on our wedding day and despite having a cold and being slightly jetlagged, Kate was professional, never complained, and worked hard in capturing some incredible shots. She even laid on the wet ground so that she could get that perfect photo! Her creativity is stunning and we've gotten many compliments on our pictures. She was also prompt in getting the pictures to us which was great because who doesn't want to post peofessional wedding pictures on your Facebook after all is said and done? All in all, we were both very happy with her and her work. Book her - she will not disappoint!
