Jim and Nikki are not only amazing photographers, but also wonderful people. We are from Dallas, TX and had never been to Alberta before our wedding, but of course after seeing the photos we HAD to get married in Banff. It's difficult to chose all of your wedding vendors online without ever meeting or seeing the people your paying. However, Jim and Nikki were the BEST decision we made. They were the most amazing and helpful people and our experience will be one we never forget.
We spent the morning with them the day before our wedding day to do our engagement shoot at Lake Moraine at sunrise. They kept us laughing and having a good time on a cold morning. And then of course on our wedding day they seemed to be everywhere and they got pictures of every little detail.

My partner and I picked Jim and Nikki as our photographers originally because we loved how they incorporated the landscapes into their shots, and made their subjects look comfortable and effortlessly like themselves. Not only did Jim and Nikki surpass and exceed those expectations, but they went over and above in more ways than I could count. It started with our engagement photos, where ahead of time they scouted out the location and knew just what pictures would capture us best where, their timeline was on point, and they even suggested an additional site to get those expansive views in that we loved. Then in picking our wedding location, they wandered around multiple areas in the Banff region, and when we politely turned down a suggestion of the Banff Falls for more of a mountainscape, they were wonderfully receptive and DELIVERED. Their final suggestion of Johnson Lake had both the mountains, a lake, and because it was the less populated location near Lake Minnewanka, ensured we got that beautiful, isolated, and magical scenery we were looking for in our winter wedding. They also have a knack for setting you at ease. Neither I nor my partner are practiced at being photogenic as we don’t really do social media, so the laidback, humourous, and genuine nature they both had allowed us to be ourselves and it shows. I can’t emphasize enough how much Jim and Nikki’s skills are of the highest value in quality and worth their weight in gold. Jim and Nikki, if you’re reading this, thank you.
