We love Black & Gold. We’ve hired them for wedding and family photos and recommend them to all of our friends. Having 2 shooters really helps get all the wedding photos from different perspectives - we couldn’t be happier. -

Joel & Cheryl are fantastic. My husband and I fell in love with their artistry before we were even engaged and it was a no brainer choice to book them for our wedding. They were so willing to go wherever we asked, had unlimited ideas for great shots and were so fun to be around. We also appreciated their helpful suggestions for what to wear, how to pose, what to expect, and their willingness to include our pups. The end results speak for themselves, and we highly recommend them. -

They say pictures are memories that last a lifetime and this is exactly the gift Joel and Cheryl have given to us, photographing our wedding day. On our first anniversary, we were able to completely relive the day, feel the same emotions we felt on our special day and reminisce about all the special moments they captured. What we love about having Joel and Cheryl partnering to take the pictures was that you get two completely different perspectives and photos from one pose or moment. This is imperative as you can spend the majority of your day in the moment with your people and still have so many amazing portraits. They were incredibly flexible and understanding as we had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic. They were very helpful in providing suggestions from our love story engagement shoot, where they generously drove 4 hours round trip to take our engagement photos to helping with wedding timeline and details. We’re so grateful to be able to relive our wedding day for years to come- all thanks to this amazing husband & wife duo! -

We booked Black and Gold for both our engagement and wedding photos and couldn't be happier with both. We didn't know exactly what we wanted, but with the info we gave them they came up with the perfect shots. Even though we stayed in the same section, they got a variety of shots, including some that looked like we were in a beautiful prairie field (actually downtown Winnipeg). When we got the photos back, it looked like we'd been all over.
We were a little nervous about getting our photos taken professionally, but they put us at ease and made us very comfortable. I was surprised at how quick they were - both times, we got our photos edited and delivered within less than two weeks. -
