Lauren was so lovely to work with from the very beginning. She was very responsive and organized in helping us plan our Celebration of Love Party. Lauren and Will have such a cool sound and vibe and kept the energy up and the party going. Thank you so much SteelRiver Duo! Your sound is amazing and we were so lucky to have you celebrate with us on our special day! -

My husband and I cannot express how amazing Lauren and the rest of Southbound Soul (William, Justin, Jonathan, and Stefan) was for our wedding in Sept 2022. We had done quite a bit of research looking for live entertainment for our special day and when we came across Lauren we knew she was our top pick. Her insane talent and energy and her selection and style of music was exactly what we pictured for our wedding day. Lauren was really incredible to work with. She was able to create a package for us to meet all of our needs for our day and for our venue, was very responsive the entire time, and was so professional and confident. Her confidence that she would make our entertainment dreams come true and the trust that that instilled in us was something that meant a lot, especially during the more stressful time in the weeks leading up to the wedding. During our last meeting before our big day, she did such an amazing going through all of the details, making plans to accommodate special performances from my husband and a guest, and making us feel relaxed that no matter what we could leave music in her hands. And while this is all great, the fact that she is so kind, and caring, and so much fun is just the cherry on top of it all.
On the day of our wedding she managed our ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and first dance music, and then put on an INSANE performance all night long with the band. The entire day it felt so good knowing that everything related to our music was in hands that we trusted and it went flawlessly.

Lauren Roy truly made our wedding day perfect.
She was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, and extremely flexible and understanding with our constant changes and adjustments as a result of COVID. Along with an acoustic guitarist, she lit up the room at our ceremony, nailing the slow, acoustic versions of some of our more up-beat favourites ("Best Friend" by Queen, "Home" by Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes, "Believer" by The Monkeys) and putting a tremendous amount of heart and soul into some of the traditional wedding classics ("Moon River," "Can't Help Falling in Love With You"). I was originally concerned that the single guitarist and singer wouldn't be enough to keep the energy high at our intimate backyard reception, but Lauren assured me she and her guitarist alone could "bring the party," and they absolutely delivered. We couldn't believe how big of a sound they pulled off with just the two musicians; it felt like we had hired a 5 or 6 piece band (without bothering the neighbours). After the wedding many of our guests expressed how much they enjoyed the music, and some even asked for her information to hire her themselves. Lauren took so much of the stress off of us during the planning process, and made our wedding day unforgettable. I could not recommend her highly enough. -

Lauren, not only has one of the most amazing voices, she is all around amazing. Flexible, creative, connected, thoughtful, and endearing.
She was a personal referral to help plan a surprise backyard safe celebration for my wife and my 10 year wedding anniversary. The night couldn't have been more perfect. Lauren and her bandmate Will sang and played such well-suited music including some key recommendations like our wedding song. Lauren also through her extended team brought in other wedding elements like our flowers and cake. It didn't end there. Her photographer and chef matched the style of the occasion naturally. As my wife now shares with me it had everything she wanted in our wedding with the opportunity to selfishly just focus on each other.
Lauren, I can't thank you enough for helping create a once in a lifetime memory which is just so amazing to have with our home! Pictures say a 1000 words. -
