We hired Kristen to play the harp prior to our wedding ceremony, during the ceremony, and during the cocktail hour at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.
While I only had the pleasure of hearing her during the ceremony, I can tell you that I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to play for us. Kristen learned a specific song and coordinated with an amazing vocalist for my walk down the aisle. When the doors opened and the flood of music hit my ears, I felt at peace. I took my first steps confidently and serenely into the room, toward my husband to be, and I couldn’t have imagined a better entrance.
So what about before and after the ceremony? Well, guests came up to us to congratulate us during the reception and every one of them commented on Kristen. They raved about her. Many had never seen a harp up close and were mesmerized by her playing. They said she added a peacefulness and a sophistication to the event, which really matched the venue and the style of wedding we were aiming for.

I couldn’t imagine the wedding without her. And she was so easy to communicate with. I cannot say enough positive things about her.

If you are looking into music for your wedding, I wholeheartedly recommend not only choosing a harpist, but Kristen specifically.

She played every song well and had a vast library of old and new music, which suited both parts of our wedding. From the second we sat down and Kristen played the first few notes of Cannon in D Major, we knew we had to have her at our wedding, and I'm so happy we made that decision. We had Kristen play for our ceremony and cocktail hour at the Doctor's House. Kristen was super easy to work with - she was quick to respond to e-mails and showed up on time (in fact, I think she was a bit early!) for our wedding. Most importantly, her music was absolutely beautiful. From classics like Cannon in D Major, to epic movie soundtracks like the Jurassic Park theme song, to modern songs from our favourite bands like Iron & Wine, Kristen did an amazing job in setting the mood and her music alone moved me to tears during our ceremony.
