Jaclyns interest in beauty was sparked when her grandmother gifted her a lipstick at age 13. That tiny little tube of lipstick held so much power to make a woman feel confident and beautiful, and Jaclyn saw so much potential to create something more then just a makeover.

From there Jaclyn went on to start her profesional beauty career in 2008 when she began to work for MAC Cosmetics. MAC was the perfect stepping stone for Jaclyn into the world of Fashion, and led her to attend Blanche MacDonald in 2014.
Joining freelance beauty teams such as Givenchy, and Sephora.

Jaclyn loves beauty, dance, wine, animals, reading, nature, anything fun and light hearted. She takes her job and her passions seriously but wants to bring as much joy and light to her day to day as possible, laughing is key.

Having over 13 years of experience in the beauty industry, Jaclyn always dreamed of running her own company, and allowing others to feel what she did that first day when she received that lipstick. Beautiful, empowered, and bad ass.

I am a Vancouver based makeup artist who loves to create art through makeup. I have had a strong interest in drawing and painting from a young age, this passion has helped cultivate my creativity as a Makeup Artist.

I got my start working in cosmetic retail, after receiving a diploma with honours from Blanche Macdonald Centre. Consulting clients on skincare and cosmetics at CurliQue Beauty Boutique, gave me the skill set needed to excel in my field.I now work as a freelance artist doing hair and makeup for bridal and special events. I love the thrill of connecting with my clients during those special moments in their lives.

When I'm not busy during wedding season I work in the film industry, filming with Hallmark and The Brick. I love doing makeup for photoshoots; from headshot and portrait work to editorial spreads for Flanelle and Selin Magazine.

I have a skin focused, glowy makeup style with pops of colour wherever suits the client. I also do makeup for Nuovo Boudoir Studio where I do full glam makeup on the clients, which helps to expand my versatility as an artist.

Making my clients feel comfortable is second nature to me and building strong connections with each person is just one of the perks of sitting in my chair. I continually strive to make every client feel like the best version of themselves!

My name is Maria, and my main passion is working in the makeup and beauty industry. Since 2006, I completed my first beauty course in my native country of Mexico. Through this I gained knowledge and began to practice on my sisters and friends as a hobby. Later in 2014, after finishing my bachelor’s degree, I became more engaged and started my journey doing hair & makeup for all occasions in Queretaro city and San Miguel de Allende, which are prime locations for weddings.

I also have experience doing hair & makeup in all types of weather such as Acapulco beach or dry cities like Queretaro and San Miguel de Allende. I am currently working in Vancouver, which has a damper climate.

I completed a bridal specialization in 2020 with the Cristina Cuellar Institute; one of the biggest beauty schools in Mexico. I have more than 20 diplomas involving makeup and hair trends. In June 2018, I completed a course in Vancouver at the Faye Smith Agency, and I continue to learn and innovate each day, keeping up with trends and techniques so I can stay current.

The style that I stand for goes from super soft and natural to full glam. The best feeling I get from this amazing job is to empower women to enhance their unique natural beauty, finding the best version of themselves and make them feel beautiful through the power of makeup.
