Halfyard Designs is a full service, appointment only, floral design company. The business is an eco-friendly operation from the owner's home. All materials are recycled, helping the environment. This company offers full floral design and decor rental services, which will make a world of difference adding more color, elegance and beauty to your occasion.


Denise, owner of Halfyard Designs, started her first flower shop in Northern BC. She has been in the floral designing business for over 15 years. Denise has worked with the lower mainland's top florists and is now operating Halfyard Designs as an independent designer.

Services offered

A free consultation is provided for clients that contact Halfyard Designs ahead of time. Halfyard Designs also provides clean up, setup and delivery. Halfyard Designs centerpieces include the cost of a container, to avoid the hassle of returning rental vases. This way your guests can take home a keepsake that will last a few more days.

Halfyard Designs did an absolutely amazing job on our flowers and decor on our wedding day. We were so happy that they managed to stay within our budget and do a great job. Everything we asked for was done magnificently. They paid close attention to the smallest details it made our day that much more special. Description: Don't get me wrong; the myriad of decorations this woman ordered were beautiful, and the flowers were masterfully grown and arranged. The giant arch made out of tree branches is her's as well. The poor rating is because I consider it huge when a business makes a large mistake with respect to an important part of a wedding, and an even larger deal when they refuse to take responsibility. They have an item that looks like a bonzai tree and functions as a guestbook: you write notes and then tie them up in the branches of the tree. Well, during the reception, we happened to notice it simply wasn't there. We wrote a note afterwards asking to make arrangements for a refund. After another email a week later coaxing her to respond, she replied saying that it was there and her assistant swears she put it beside the guestbook, and that it was our responsibility to provide cards and pens. We told her there was no guestbook, and so that is impossible, and that also there was no indication that it was just a fake tree and we had to make the concept work with our own materials. She responded saying that her assistant put it on the guestbook TABLE, and that's what she meant. We can't prove that her assistant is either lying or incompetent, or whether the owner herself is lying or incompetent, but assuming the customer is wrong and refusing to take responsibility is... just not done. Because of the negligence, we had no guestbook at our wedding, and the item's description belies what is actually offered. We have no record of the loved ones there, except of course for the photographs.
