  Great experience wedding dress shopping!

  I had a great experience at Sash + Bustle back in January when I was dress shopping. Even though I didn't end up buying my dress there, the process was smooth, efficient, and fun. They have a great variety of options and Stevie made us feel at ease, listening to our feedback and getting us additional options that matched the style I was looking for. The place is very cool and I would definitely recommend you stop by if you are looking for a wedding dress!

  Mismeasured wedding dress

  The store is nice and the employees are kind but do not know what they are doing so I would not recommend this store.
  I had purchased a dress there and when it arrived it was 2-3 sizes too big to the point where I had a hard time finding a seamstress that would take me on as a client. I paid for alterations, almost what I paid for the dress itself because of the size discrepancy and the fact that the dress was 3 layers. The dress when I initially picked it up was sliding off my body.
  
  I reached out to Sash and Bustle and was told that because I was measured by two employees my measurements were correct and there is nothing that they could do (I asked if I could return this dress and have my correct size rush ordered). My weight has been the same for years and all of my other clothes fit the same now as the time the dress was purchased. Upon checking the measurements they had obtained I realized my hips were measured as 4–5 inches bigger than they actually are. I did not think to verify their measurements since I assume “experts” know what they are doing. It’s disappointing because my budget for the dress had to be essentially doubled because of what I paid for alterations because of their mistake. I have heard other stores work with the brides in instances similar to this one or at least reorder the correct size but the manager I spoke to has zero empathy. Do NOT purchase from this store they care zero about their brides.

  Sash + Bustle Dress Review

  Sash and Bustle was the only store I went to for my wedding dress shopping. They were so warm and welcoming, so accommodating and so helpful! They made the whole process such a breeze that I was able to find my dress during my one appointment! I did the luxe experience and it was just such a lovely setup. The bubbly and snacks made it a comfortable and enjoyable setting and experience and the private room made me feel so special. Shout out to Stevie for helping me find my dream dress and for being such a wonderful stylist! Thank you to the whole team for the wonderful experience me, my family, and friends were able to have thanks to you!

  Everything you want your dress appt to be

  So this was just perfect. Brendan was so helpful and really knows what he is doing. His suggestions ended up being my favourites and he completely understood my style, even when I was speaking in incomplete sentences.
  
  Also amazing is how responsive they are to emails, how supportive and helpful their social media crew are and how perfectly they have nailed shopping for a wedding dress during Covid. They managed to make it feel as special as I wished it to be.

  Would not recommend

  I would not recommend this experience to anybody. Although the consultants are nice, they are too pushy. They urge you to size way up saying that bridal sizes are different. The senior consultant even wrote on my file that I did not go with the size she recommended because she recommended going 6 sizes above my usual dress size. I wanted to go smaller and felt uncomfortable with the size they recommended but they spent a lot of time talking me out of it and telling me it is a bad idea. Then I got my dress, and of course it is way too big, and a consultant told me “it’s ok because most people gain weight due to stress”. They totally sold me a dress to alter, not a dress to fit and love and alter if needed. At this rate I should have just gotten a used dress at a bigger size and had it altered. The tip option is put on the day you say yes too as opposed to after you receive the dress. Little did I know how ill fitting the dress would be. It is all up to my seamstress now, because as of now it fits like a potato sack. Customer service once you have bought the dress is horrible. They pretty much tell you that at the end of the day, despite what the expert consultants say, the decision is yours and you should have gone against what they said. Ultimately true, but this is still horrible customer service. For me, this has been the only negative experience with anything wedding related so far. So if you want to keep your wedding experience positive, do not come here.

  😍 can’t wait to wear this dress

  This was the best experience. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sash & Bustle. Brendan was amazing, and made me feel so comfortable during my appointment, all while having a blast! Brendan listening to everything that I was looking for, and also encouraged me to try on some dresses that I was unsure about -- which was great! I ended up picking the first dress I tried on :). When I came back to pick up my dress, it was the same wonderful experience, (just at a new beautiful location) I had the first time. I cannot wait until I get to wear this dress!!! Thank you to everyone at Sash & Bustle, and Brendan.

  Must stop shop in Toronto

  I visited 6 bridal shops on my hunt because I had to see everything before I could decide. Sash and Bustle was by far the best experience and offered the greatest selection of dresses.
  
  I've been looking for something unique and comfortable and not many other shops offered that. The dresses at S+B were so much softer and more comfortable than other shops I visited while still within budget.

  I visited 6 bridal shops on my hunt because I had to see everything before I could decide. Sash and Bustle was by far the best experience and offered the greatest selection of dresses.

  Boutique experience

  This was the first of two bridal shops I visited and the one I bought my dress at. The employees were professional and the experience felt carefully crafted. I actually came back twice more within the same week (I had to make a decision quickly) and they were able to slot me in! I even came back later to try on shoes.
  I never had a "cry because this is my dress" moment, but I am very happy with my purchase. We tried a new dress during my last visit and with a clever suggestion from the staff we added a beautiful skirt, which gave me both vibes I wanted.
  I had no issues with pickup of the dress and everything came in on time. We handled the alterations ourselves, but S&B offered a set of suggested vendors.

  Disappointing

  I was very excited to have my first bridal experience with sash and bustle. Sadly it wasn’t a good experience. We sat down with our sales rep and discussed budget/dresses etc. Then went to pick out dresses. We were kindly reminded of our budget and what was in our budget when looking around. Once we picked the dresses we began trying on. I didn’t have that WOW moment until I tried this one dress on. I cried, my mom cried. It was the perfect moment. I was then told it was almost 2,000 over budget. I was crushed! It really put a damper on the experience. I think the sales rep need to listen to their brides more and adhere to their budgets.
