    Absolutely mesmerizing setup for my wedding reception..could not be happy..Highly recomend

    We hired Starzz Design and Decor last min as oir last Decor company was not responsive. We were much assured that starzz team will take care of us ..Absolutely stunning work was delivered along with clarity on the designs and pricing..can't wait for the pic..highly recommend

    Awful, disappointing, biggest regret

    Sadly this had to be THE most disappointing vendor from my wedding. I don't like to write reviews but feel compelled in this situation so no one has to experience the stress I had to for my big day.
    1. Disorganized - I did not get responses for meetings, venue site visit, completed contract and final design meeting until one week before my wedding.
    2. No response- they did not attend or even respond to my site visit for a meeting. The day of they placed decor items wherever was convenient stating they could not move it due to venue electrical issues. Had the come for a site visit when asked this could have been avoided. My marquee letters were essentially at the other side of my venue and not apart of the design plan.
    3. Inattentive - I asked for very specific items, like ALL white everything. They put green napkins instead of white. I don't know how you mess that up.
    4. Money - their expenses are made up numbers. I got an email telling how hard it was to find marquee letters and when they finally found one it was almost $600 for 3 things. I threw it into google and the first link gave me marquee letters for half the price. So, they definitely did not care to help you. In fact, I did the work for them.
    5. Demanding - payment is due one week before date in the contract. They had not even send me a completed contract until 3 days before and then refused to start decor until payment was received. Super hypocritical considering they didn't send me a contract until 3 days before when my ceremonies already began and I was not readily available.
    6. Greedy - they left out details of design meetings like charger plates and money box and floor wrapping and table numbers. I had to ask about it and was told someone would get back to me in 10 mins. I did not hear back and yet again had to get to work to get charger plates 1 week before my date. All of a sudden I see that they have charged me $1800 on another contract for it. I found charger plates on my own for $1100. Talk about highway robbery. They then said they paid a deposit for it and cannot cancel it. I did not agree verbally or contractually for them to do it as I did not get a response and they still charged me extra. I had to review the contract in detail and when I looked over the amounts they actually would 'mistakenly' increase random amounts by $100.
    7. Overpriced - i had THE most basic decor. The stage cost me $7000 for 3 gold frames, fake greenery and flowers, non white love seat ( i asked for ALL white), small chandeliers and dollar store candles around the base (6 in total).
    To this day I cannot fathom how i paid so much money for such terrible service and nothing to show for it. Hey, if they were mean about stuff but delivered my vision on point i can be a little more forgiving but, my decor was NOT impressive. They placed marquee letters at a random spot, a random arch, no lighting and a basic love seat set up.
    ALSO- i had come up with my own Teepee idea with string lights and they started to sell this idea and vision to other people even though i specifically asked for this not to be discussed until my wedding was complete. She took it and sold it for so much more and didn't even complete my decor to something that was even worth her sharing on her own Instagram. That is how awful it was. She posts all of her designs but, did not post mine bc it was not even worthy. I agree, I would not want to showcase something so disappointing. My advice is to stay away. There were a million other companies i should have gone with and this is my biggest regret. She sweet talks you with endearing words but these people are awful and greedy. Please do yourselves a favour and stay away. I tried to write legitimate examples so everyone knows I am not just taking out my anger in a review. I went on vacation after the wedding and took some space only to come back to the same conclusion on how terrible this company is. Save your money, you can do a lot more with it somewhere else.

    This review is a clear intentional attack for a refund and includes defamation of the company with no basis. Nazia and her friends have been harassing our company for the past few days. We have records to rebuttal each claim you made. Our legal team is looking into this.

    We have a dedicated administration team to help our clients through a smooth process after the contract is signed and the event is booked. You got a response to every email you sent, we have records of the replies we sent. All consultations were confirmed by email which we have kept records of. In our emails, there was a site visit you brought up which our team had conducted on a timely basis to ensure a proper flow of your wedding set up. We never committed to having a site visit according to your availability. Starzz Design and Decor has every proof of contacting the venue vendor and taking the necessary measurements. We have every record that all your emails were acknowledged in a timely manner. Under the VENUE section of your contract, it states “ It is also the responsibility of the client(s) to confirm with the venue that all necessary equipment will meet fitment requirements at the venue.” In regards to your marquee letters, the electrical socket was on the opposite side of the stage. The owner of the venue themselves said it was not safe for us to use that one as people might trip during the event. In the final design meeting, our design team gave you an option of the green napkins instead of the white to match the greenery in your backdrop. You at that point agreed to the green napkins, if you wanted white, we could have done white. At the final design meeting, instead of focusing on the actual final design confirmation you were talking about issues with your in-laws and your current family drama. Perhaps, if you were attentive, you would recall choosing the green napkins over the white ones. 4, money. Absolutely absurd claim, every quote that our company provides is backed up by our contract from the service provider vendor. You were telling us to go with the vendor of your choice for the marquee letters, which was not available and the prices that you were claiming to get was a made up price. We don’t understand how you claim to have done the work for us when we went out of our way to ensure you got the marquee letters through a new vendor because your vendor didn't come through. 5, demanding payment. The final quote was sent to you months prior to your last minute changes which then impacted the final payment many times. 6, greedy. We never charged you extra for anything, you approved the quote beforehand. The vendors we showed you are the best in the industry and that is why we quoted them to you. These quotes were directly forwarded to you in your email. 7, overpriced. In the very first email you ever sent us, you said and we quote, “I am very inspired by the minimalistic.” The definition of minimalistic is tidy, uncluttered, and simple.The “basic” decor you claim we provided you with is textbook definition of a minimalistic set up. We meet the industry standard for decor pricing. We get our floating candles from a vendor called Yummi Candles. This is a vendor we have been working with for years. Next, the teepee design you claimed to be yours. We have no idea how and when you became the patent owner of teepee decors. The exact design that you apparently created this year was already done by us at a previous client’s sangeet in 2020. Also, you said we didn’t post your wedding on our socials. We will. Our social media team creates a schedule every three months and posts weddings accordingly. Your wedding will be displayed later this year. If we were greedy, inattentive, overpriced or any of the absurd things you listed, you had every right to take your business somewhere else but you did not. Because you know we did an excellent job executing your event. Nonetheless, we thank you for your business and wish you a happy married life.

    Outstanding decor

    I met Sonkia through the family and she definitely knows what she is doing when it comes to decor. Sonika has made both mine and my husband's vision come to life. She has exceptional decor to choose from- including awesome peacocks ! We were both super blown away by the work that she has done for us to make our day look amazing. Our guest are still ranting about the decor. I would highly recommend Sonika to anyone.

    Best Decor Company in the GTA

    Sonika and her team are fantastic! Starzz Design design did my wedding and reception. I had so many compliments from guests. Sonika is flexible for meetings, she always worked around my work schedule. She was available to answer questions or help appease my doubts closer to the wedding. The end result was mind blowing! It looked better than I could have ever imagined. I would recommend Starzz Design to everyone. If you want a company who is stress free, works within your budget, responds promptly to emails/calls and gives you amazing results, Sonika and her team are the ones to choose. These were the criteria I looked for and she surpassed them all!
