TownePlace Suites by Marriott Brantford & Conference Centre services a variety of wedding events including bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and receptions. Clients can avail of The Grand Ballroom which is a 7,000 square foot space that can be customized to suit their personal preferences. This magnificent venue has a maximum guest capacity of 600 people but it can also be divided up into three separate halls of 2,400 square feet each. These halls can accommodate up to 150 guests, allowing couples to host their occasion no matter the size. Engaged clients also have the opportunity to avail of the glamorous get-ready suites before the beginning of their festivities. The on-site team prioritizes ease-of-access for all guests, providing ample parking spaces as well as full wheelchair accessibility.

    Honest Review


    My husband and I got married at the Marriott recently and I’ve contemplated writing a review or not. However I decided that other couples considering the Marriott for their wedding venue should know the pros and cons of this reception venue.
    Starting with the decor, which was beautiful, this was due to the wonderful Cindy from now and always decor. The food was AMAZING, if you’re looking for an event to be catered I’d highly recommend Mercasa, Tom was so great to work with.
    The dj the venue provided was also great to work with - Darren at perfectly sound.
    The venue itself .. was just a venue and if I were to get married over again I think I would use all of the same vendors but I would choose a different location. The main reason for this is the communication or the lack there of. Everyone is so hard to get in contact with and will take FOREVER to respond and that is after reaching out multiple times. Half the time I never even got a response. Also be warned it will take over a month to get your damage deposit back, which would have been fine if someone had told us ahead of time. Basically everything felt so disorganized when it came to the Marriott and their staff. Again, I would like to mention Now & Always, Mercasa and the other vendors associated with the Marriott were AMAZING to work with.

    Would Not Recommend

    I honestly would never recommend this venue. Do yourself a favour and avoid! Limited to no communication.

    Over the span of 1 year from signing to the date of our wedding, we had four separate contacts/coordinators. The first was absolutely horrendous. You could email and follow up weekly and still not receive a response. Once I paid the initial deposit, communication went drastically downhill. When this coordinator left, no one from the Marriott reached out to me. Therefore I was emailing an account that wasn’t being monitored for over a month. I called the venue to only be told she was no longer with the Marriott.

    There was no accountability and I constantly felt as though I was being spoke down to for not knowing their processes (that they never explained or gave).

    I was told different things by each new coordinator. I had to reexplain where we were at several times. They changed the food/catering service without notifying us of the new menu until we asked for dietary accommodations for a couple of guests.

    The last and most recent coordinator was the best of them all, but unfortunately we only had him for a little over a week and he was still in training. Not his fault…. But didn’t save my experience by any means.

    This overall was a headache and wouldn’t recommend you undertake the stress.

    DISCLAIMER: this does not reflect my opinion of the preferred decorator or in house DJ. I would highly recommend Now and Always decor and Perfectly Sound DJ services. Bartenders were great. Set up staff was also great.

    I have no idea who the new food caterer is… although the food was just okay. I wouldn’t hire again over.
