Facilities and capacity

Founded in 1995, the Metropolitan Centre quickly established itself as Calgary's foremost special event venue. The Met Centre is an inner-city basecamp for a variety of occasions. A unique conference and event centre in the heart of Calgary's downtown. The Metropolitan Centre offers a variety of rooms, tastefully appointed in a contemporary neutral pallet. At the met Centre your magical day will be executed to perfectioin.

The Metropolitan Ballroom is one of the most versatile function rooms in Calgary. Perfectly simple as it is, it can easily be transformed to create any atmosphere for a truly memorable occasion. The Ballroom is perfect for receptions, banquets and ceremonies.

The Grand Lecture Theatre is the ideal space for a ceremony. The tiered theatre style allows all guests to be able to view the ceremony with no obstruction.

The Strand Room is a more intimate space for smaller gatherings. The room is on the second level and is easily accessed from the + 15 network. The Strand has been host to many smaller events and wedding banquets, receptions and ceremonies.

The Met Centre offers high quality catering services to create a memorable wedding menu for you and your guests. Tasteful simplicity meets elegant design. Starting with the fundamentals of traditional Italian Cooking, classically trained chefs create unique dishes inspired by international cuisines and custom menus. The Met Centre also offers Grand Indian Banquet as well as Ten Course Chinese Banquet.
