Nestled on 42 acres of West Vancouver's renowned British Properties, Hollyburn Country Club is an idyllic venue to celebrate the most special day of your life. Located along the mountainside, the recently expanded facility offers spectacular vistas of Vancouver. It is a picture-perfect locale for wedding celebrations.

Facilities and capacity

The award-winning facility offers three exclusive event spaces for wedding celebrations. Choose from the following:

  • Creek Side Room: The Creek Side Room offer a warm and inviting atmosphere and is bathed with natural light. This space is ideal for cocktail receptions. It has the capacity for 120 guests. Guests can mingle and enjoy drinks on the small attached patio.
  • Dining Room: Experience a relaxed ambience in the club’s Dining Room. Couples can also hold an outdoor ceremony on the two lovely patios. The 1,950-square-foot dining space can accommodate up to 120 guests.

Services offered

The experienced team of Hollyburn Country Club offers couples personalized attention and helps them in planning a perfect celebration. Lighting and sound are provided by the venue. Couples are allowed to bring outside vendors for additional wedding services.

Cuisine

Along with superior service, the culinary team artfully crafts and presents scrumptious cuisine to delight every palate. Couples can choose from a wide variety of menu selections, such as lunch a la carte, buffet selections, reception platters, reception hors d’oeuvres, dinner a la carte, and dinner buffets. Some of the dishes include chicken marabella, grilled vegetable towers, harissa butter basted wild salmon, oyster platters or shucker stations, and much more.

Hollyburn Country Club is 41 minutes from Vancouver International Airport. It is near Thistledown House, North Vancouver Hotel, and several other hotels.

    Beautiful venue and excellent food

    My husband and I booked Hollyburn for our ceremony location and wedding reception. We had to change our date 3 times due to COVID and Hollyburn was so flexible and patient with all the changes. Our final wedding date should have been alright to proceed 100% indoors with the exception of the ceremony. However, due to COVID restrictions not being lifted on time, we had to last minute push the cocktail party and dancing outside. Hollyburn was great at accommodating everything on their huge patio, and figured out the large tents for us that were necessary as it rained that night. I think that other than the spectacular view, Hollyburn most impressed with the food. We communicated our preferred cuisine (Middle Eastern in an Ottolenghi style) to Chef Paul Bellanick, and he came up with an array of choices we picked from for canapes and buffet dinner. We didn't have the chance for a tasting as we had moved out of town before our wedding so we were going in blind and had no idea what to expect. But wow, Chef Paul blew all our expectations out of the water. We have a lot of "foodie" guests and multiple people came up to us saying this was the best food they had ever had. Chef also accommodated our unique dessert requests that were a nod to my husband and my cultural upbringing. We had rugelach as well as flambeed bananas and other fruit in rum/sherry. The flambee station was so impressive not to mention delicious. All in all, we were very satisfied with our choice of venue and if I had to do it all over again, I'd choose Hollyburn again with no hesitation.

    I am so happy with Hollyburn! They have been so flexible and great so far whether it be a quick question or a big change. I love the venue and the beautiful views!

    We had our reception of 80 in the dining room at Hollyburn on April 11, 2015. All of our guests were very happy with the food, service and beautiful view. Paige Wilson, the coordinator, was exceptional. From our first meeting to the wedding reception, Paige was very friendly, accommodating and professional -- we could not have asked for anyone better. Having compared several venues, Hollyburn's price was very fair and affordable. We highly recommend to all friends and family.

    We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hollyburn Country Club in September of 2014 and it was absolutely amazing. The service we received from all the staff at Hollyburn was professional, fast and efficient.

    In the months leading up to the wedding, Paige Wilson helped us take care of everything we needed and went above and beyond in making sure our day ran smoothly and easily.

    The price is excellent for the quality of service received and we could not be happier with how everything turned out.

    If you are getting married, Hollyburn should be at the top of your list of places to check out.

    Paige at Hollyburn was so great. She was super accomodating with the prices and the menu. It's very affordable and a very beautiful space. We had our ceremony on the West Patio and our reception in the Club Lounge. I highly recommend it!

I have been fortunate to work with some of the great Chefs from Toronto. Spent many years honing my craft in restaurants, hotels, bistros and culinary colleges in Ontario. But it was not until I owned my own restaurant in the UK that I learned the most important lessons. cooking is about love.

The love for food, for raw product, the best you can get your hands on. My grandfather taught me the joy of nurturing fruit and vegetables from seed, making the most of what you have and wasting nothing! Eating raspberries so plump they burst at picking and pickling beets so that we could have them on toast in the winter. Important lessons learned.

The love for hospitality. Conviviality. Peter Oliver showed me that with vision and drive you can accomplish anything. More importantly he instilled in me the knowledge that ensuring the experience from start to finish was impeccable. That we have to create an environment that makes people feel as if they are guests in our home.

The love for details. The experience is in the details. Michael Bonacini taught me to see the details. To fret over them, to obsess over them. How have we cut the onions, are the plates lined up, are our uniforms pressed and clean, have we tasted, tasted, tasted everything!

Originally from the UK, Layla has been a Catering Manager in Vancouver for 5+ years and has worked on many types of events in her career, from International Conferences to Weddings.

With her experience she can assist you with the planning of all aspects of your big day, decor, entertainment, timelines, as well as help guide you with the right menu choices and bar selections, (she hold qualifications in wine and beer).

We have a full range of menu options available but we are not limited to those options. As a catering team we keep on top of currents trends and have also developed great relations with vendors related to our business.

The exciting part of the job is that the possibilities are endless! Her job is to make sure that your event is the best it can be in every way.

Layla is excited to be apart of the team at the Hollyburn Country Club and is looking forward to disussing your big day.
