  Spectacular Venue - Guests said so too!

  We just had our wedding at Second Floor Events on January 13, 2024 and it was an absolute dream. From the first time we stepped into the venue for a tour we knew it was the one. The brick walls and the long bar were the things that caught our eye first and loved that the space could be open and closed off. Since we had both our ceremony and reception all in this space guests loved that they just had to go from one side of the room to the other and didn't have to travel to another location.
  
  Then we had our tasting and the food was INCREDIBLE! This was one of the many positive comments we got from guests was how incredible the food was from beginning to end.
  
  Niamh was our event coordinator from the venue and she was so delightful to work with. From her professional and sweet demeanour I knew that she would make our day exactly how we wanted it. She was so quick to respond to my many questions, and was able to make me feel calm at a time where there was a lot going on.
  
  I would 100% recommend Second Floor Events to future couples that are in search of a venue, they have truly thought of every little detail so you don't have to!

  Our Perfect Fall Wedding

  This was the first venue that my husband and I visited while searching for our wedding venue and we both said to each other “I can see us getting married here.” From the beginning, SF was responsive, accommodating, and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. We met Rachel who gave us a tour of the venue and we immediately fell in love with the venue. Rachel was so warm and never pressured us to make a decision. We compared proceeding venue tours to SF and ultimately couldn’t stop thinking about this venue (the exposed brick, twinkling lights, marquee, photo light boxes, beautiful bar, and large windows.. it was unmatched with anything else we saw).
  
  We worked with our venue coordinator Niahm Byrne for the year and she was amazing! She was prompt with communication and always addressed our concerns in a swift and professional manner. I changed my mind on a lot of things and was indecisive at some points but Niahm never rushed me and was always flexible in any changes we made. She was so helpful when we needed some guidance with the menu selection, drinks, and decor.
  
  We had about 100 guests and the space was just right and allowed for room for guests to mingle while still maintaining the intimate and romantic vibe we wanted to have. The space is perfect for the romantic, moody, warm, intimate fall wedding I envisioned.
  
  One of the top reasons we chose SF was because they’re renowned for having amazing food and they definitely did not disappoint. Our menu tasting was like a fine dining experience in itself and we even got to chat with their head chef. We were able to taste the wine as well from their wide array of wine selections. Our guests raved about the food, particularly the pork belly baos and braised short rib. For any guests that have strict dietary restrictions and/or allergies, SF is extremely accommodating with creating alternatives, which we appreciated as we had many guests with nut allergies. The drinks were also top notch, my signature cocktail was a pineapple margarita and it was a crowd hit!
  
  Looking back on my wedding day, there is nothing I would change and I look at my photographs with such pride and joy. Niahm along with SF staff and of course our coordinators ensured our day ran smoothly and without a hitch. SF truly exceeded my expectations and helped me bring to life the fall wedding of my dreams.

  We recently had our wedding at Second Floor Events and we were totally blown away by how wonderful everything turned out. Many of our guests came up to us raving about how much they loved the food and drinks. The venue itself is just beautiful and can adapt to any vibe you want. Working with Niamh during the planning process was a breeze! She's super organized, pays attention to every detail, and was so patient in helping us make our décor and set up ideas come to life. They were so flexible with bringing in our special treats from our countries and are even able to make great wedding cakes and favours in-house. The tasting was a blast, everything we tried was delicious. The staff there were amazing, making sure everything ran smoothly, and the bartenders were not only super friendly but also masters at mixing up some fantastic cocktails. We can't recommend this place enough! :)

  Our Dream Wedding

  After seeing 10 venues, we happened upon Second Floor Events and instantly knew that this would be the place that would make our wedding the most magical event. From the start, the enthusiasm that Amanda showed was palpable and we knew that the Second Floor team would continue to go above and beyond. When we got into the planning, we worked with Niamh, and she made every detail, big and small, come to life. Every email was responded to promptly and with great enthusiasm, and the answer "no" did not exist. Niamh found a way to make every single request an absolutely stunning reality and we could not have imagined a more incredible group of people to make our dream wedding a reality.
  Now for the important stuff - the food and the drinks. HOLY SHIT was it ever phenomenal! Starting with the passed canapes, we got the cauliflower croquette, mushroom puff pastry, chicken skewers, pork belly bao, tuna tataki, and salmon tartare and they were so so so good! They were all so tasty, fresh, the texture was spot on, the size of all of them were perfect, the bao being quite substantially large, and the rest being perfect 2 biters. Into the seated meals, we had the burratini salad, which was spectacular seeing as who doesn't love a big piece of burrata topping their salad, and the faro and heirloom carrots made for a delicious fall salad. The entrées were the potato gnocchi, beef short rib, and miso cod, and they were all spectacular. The guests at our wedding were RAVING about how tasty everything was, how great the presentation was, and the professionalism of all the staff serving the food in perfect unison. The deserts (wall of donuts) were so tasty too and the presentation was great, and the late night snacks did not disappoint with burgers and french fries (who doesn't love burgers and french fries).
  As for the drinks, the bar was spot on, guests being served quickly and efficiently, and they most definitely poured the drinks with a heavy hand - they did not skimp/water down the beverages at all. We had 2 signature cocktails, and the bar menu was out as well and it looked so impressive with guests drinking martinis, manhattans, margaritas, and everything in between. There was never a line, and even after the reception when the guests filed out for the cocktail hour, they did not have to wait which was very important to us. Overall, the bar was fucking lit, and facilitated so much dancing and great times.
  If you're still reading this, and still deciding which venue to go with, just know that Second Floor will provide you with the wedding of your dreams, bar none best night of your life! This venue was so special and amazing and we could not have asked for anything more.

  The best day of our lives!

  My husband and I had the best experience hosting our wedding reception at Second Floor! Such a unique and funky venue and the planning process was seamless. The food and drink options were amazing and we’ve received rave reviews from our friends and family. Best day of our lives thanks to Second Floor!

  Perfect venue!

  We recently had our wedding at Second Floor, and everyone was super helpful and attentive, beginning to end with all our planning, setup, checking on us throughout the night. All of our guests raved about the food and the atmosphere! 10/10 would recommend.

  We Couldn't Have Asked for a Better Venue!

  We just got married at Second Floor on Sunday, August 6th. We booked the venue two years in advance, as we wanted extra time to plan. Even though we were early birds in booking, the team was still receptive of our requests and promptly answered all of our questions. One year to our wedding date, our coordinator was switched out but that did not tamper with any of our plans. The venue took care to relay all of the details to the new coordinator. Niamh, our coordinator who helped us plan to the date of the wedding, was simply incredible! Niamh answered all of our questions, recommended any changes were needed, and was there for us on our big day.
  
  The incredible menu was one of our biggest factors in selecting this venue. We wanted upscale fuzion that actually tasted good and Second Floor delivered just that. We were fine dined during our tasting -- which is rare to find in the industry. On the day of the wedding, we received many compliments about the food. The hors d'oeuvres were to die for (especially the Pork Belly Bao).
  
  Second Floor is a heritage space with some original brick and flooring from it's time as a 20th century tea factory. If you are looking for a heritage loft feel, this venue will deliver exactly that! The second we walked into the space, we fell in love and had a "this is our venue" moment. The space is equipped with dividers to help transition from ceremony to reception. The Bridal Suite had a great amount of privacy with washrooms right besire them (hidden from the rest of the venue). In all honestly, the space does not require a lot of decor as it is stunning on its own. But we hired a decorator to bring in the decor we purchased ourselves on the day of to be set up. Little did we know that Niamh and her team would have done that for us if we had delivered the decor prior (this just speaks to the care in all small details the team takes).
  
  The venue was well staffed with bartenders, kitchen staff, and security. Drinks were flowing and there was not a single line in sight for drinks! The bartenders worked fast and the drinks tasted great. The security team was always present which made us feel secure as the venue is in a busy downtown location.
  
  The only con (a tiny one at that) is that the venue is located off of the main street and is challenging to find. The team took care to put a sign on King Street to indicate where the space is located.

  Incredible Venue and Staff!

  All the staff were incredible :) Everything from the food, set up, attentiveness of staff, and dance party was on point! We haven't had this much fun with all our close friends + family in a long time so thanks for taking care of us on such a special night!

  Book Second Floor Events! You will love it!

  We are so glad that we found Second Floor Events to host our wedding. It was such a perfect day for us, and we cannot thank Second Floor enough for it. From the beginning, our event coordinator Niamh was always so available to answer any questions and correspondence was so seamless. We had an opportunity to have a tasting and discuss what we wanted for the big day. When the day came, the food was just as good as our tasting and everyone loved it! Everyone loved the cocktails as well. And of course, the venue itself is stunning- rustic, industrial, but also modern, and long bar. It also had lots of windows for natural light. You can either dress it up with flowers and decor, or let the venue shine on its own. The location is great as well as it is so central and there are multiple parking structures around the area. I would highly highly highly recommend Second Floor for your wedding or any other function.

The entire process was made so easy and incredible by their talented team especially our coordinator Niamh. From the very beginning, they were so flexible in working with my schedule to arrange a site visit, from there they were able to develop a proposal that really capture the customizations that were so important to us. The top notch quality service did not disappear after booking, if anything we were given even better support and were always provided with quick and detailed responses to every single question. I did not hire a wedding planner so I really worked closely with Niamh and Second Floor Events right up until our wedding day to finalize every detail and they were incredibly accommodating. The space itself is like nothing I have ever seen and provides so much opportunity for personalization. It was really important to us to provide our guests with an easy comfortable experience that day so being able to have both the ceremony and reception in one location was amazing and allowed for more time for us and our guests to just enjoy! A week later I am still getting compliments on the food!!! This is not your typical wedding food - it is upscale and visually amazing! The portions are perfect and satisfying and the chef and team have an incredible attention to detail regarding dietary restrictions and allergies. I cannot recommend this venue enough and you will have absolutely no regrets booking with them!
