Intimate, Elegant and (Oh MY....) Delicious!
This venue was absolutely perfect for the intimate wedding we dreamed of. The venue space is cozy, which made it the right fit for our 36 guest count. The exposed brick made a beautiful contrast to the elegant set up. Sara (Director of Catering and Events) was great dealing with a new bride who was overtly anxious about every detail. She was very prompt with communication and really tried to grasp the vision we had for our special night. Our vision, combined with her expertise (the options she offered, the vendors she works with and the inspiration pictures she shared) made an absolutely beautiful night come true. As soon as we walked in, everything we had emailed about, was there. We are eternally grateful for the romantic set up, for really listening to us and for creating the space that truly represented us.Sent on 25/11/2019
The Tempered Room Catering.... WOW! We chose the four-course meal as my hubby and I are huge foodies. After giving Sarah some food restrictions, she shared this crucial information with the Owner and Executive Catering Chef, Greg. Dinner was beyond spectacular! We chose to have the Squash Soup (our guests are still talking about it...), Gnocci Tomato and our guests had the choice between Braised Beef Short Ribs, BC Salmon and Roasted Chicken. Everyone was commenting on every bite they took, their eyes grew big and then tried guessing what ingredient they had just experienced. Our guests kept referring to the dinner as a Foodie Journey that led their taste buds to delicious flavours and thrilling pairings. I personally always hear that newlyweds almost always don't get a chance to eat at their wedding, we, on the other hand, experienced every bite! There was no way we would miss it... and so very happy we didn't.
The staff working on our night were so very attentive, they came around with wine (we chose to have an open bar), always had water ready and cleared our plates so efficiently.
We loved our experience planning with The Tempered Room, that when we found out that the Owner and Executive Pastry Chef, Hum is an expert on pastries and the like, we immediately jumped on her creating our Wedding Cake! It was an absolute pleasure to discuss and share ideas on flavours and pairings. I must say, my hubby and I had the most fun during this process. Hum took the flavours we were considering (Coconut and Dulce de Leche) and came up with amazing flavours to complement what we wanted. We had a cake tasting that was super delicious and gave us a sneak peek at how the foodie night would go. When discussing the style of wedding cake, Hum listened to every wish I had and magically created it! Her awesome suggestions not only elevated our vision but made it unique just for us.
We are satisfied beyond measure and genuinely are super thankful that we crossed paths with such passionate individuals who truly care about the clients they have. Thank you a thousandfold!
