We had our very small post wedding dinner here with 35 guests, and they set us up on the second floor with long tables to accommodate everyone. The service was actually so amazing, the staff were so friendly, and the food was as delicious as we have come to expect. I highly recommend them, they will make sure that your reception is absolutely perfect. I can't wait to go back every year to celebrate our anniversary!

We had a small wedding with only 8 people, we had booked reservations for our wedding dinner and drinks 6 months in advance. On the day of our wedding, we were running about a half hour behind and called to let the pub know. When we called, they said the reservation was only until 7:00 which is the first time we were told that there was only a 2-hour window. Fortunately, they were able to correct this and accommodate us and gave us the room with stellar views! Our server was Trevor, and he was so awesome and provided the whole wedding party with exceptional service. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable, we all had a great dining experience and enjoyed our beverages!

Called a few months ago to schedule a viewing when we were in the area, to look at venues. Despite speaking with a staff member and leaving my contact information, I never received a call back. It seems like such a lovely venue I was really dissapointed. Even if they couldn't accommodate a viewing at the time I would have appreciated a call back to potentially discuss another time. Ultimately we ended up going with another venue. But I would definitely say they need to get better organization regarding their booking process for weddings.

I won't discredit the venue, it is beautiful and would be gorgeous for a wedding. My review comes from dealing with Michael. After reaching out via WeddingWire, he was very quick to respond. However when he called to chat about our plans, I felt like a fly on the wall as he continued to talk to his staff while he had me on the phone. I found that pretty rude, especially since he contacted me. But whatever, I let that go and we penciled in a date and he gave me his email etc. if I had more questions or wanted to contact him for anything. Then a few days later he calls me back, was very blunt and had completely forgotten our conversation. Thats fine, he's a manager of a very busy restaurant in a very weird time. I ended up scheduling a viewing but when we showed up, he still didn't know who we were or any of the details discussed previously. The cherry on top was the follow-up email when my partners name was something completely different (Michael had even written it down when we were there, and it's not an uncommon name). All of these interactions along with some of the excuses he used when we were face to face did not give me much faith in booking.
Again, very beautiful space and truly wonderful views but I would suggest that if the Iron Goat continues to book events such as weddings that they employ someone dedicated to events and not put it on the manager. I got the impression that he was very busy and didn't have much time to dedicate to us.

I researched just about every possible wedding venue for my small wedding in the mountain. The iron goat is one I kept coming back to.

Not only was the food amazing, but they were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with which made planning my wedding during a pandemic relatively stress free.

We had our ceremony on their upper patio with the beautiful mountains views and then had our reception on their upper floor. I can’t speak enough about how flexible and chill they were. They let us decorate before hand and stored my cake overnight in their cooler. Every answer I had was always met with ‘we will work with you for whatever you need.’

Myself and a few other guest are celiac and they were more than willing to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The food was so good. Almost every guest commented on how good it was.

My main point of contact was Michael, he was always friendly and easy to get ahold of. Every email or phone call I made was always retuned within a day. He also made a point of checking in here and there over the months to make sure everything was good to go. This made me feel like my wedding although small was just as important as a much larger wedding.

5/5 I would absolutely recommend the iron goat. If you want to plan a low stress even with amazing food you need to seriously consider the iron goat.

We had our reception here, and it was perfect! We had our guests order off the menu (we only had 17 guests), and the waitress was amazing! Came around often to make sure that we had everything we needed, and everyone loved their dinners!

We had a small elopement sized wedding and reserved space at the Iron Goat Pub and Grille in Canmore Alberta. It turned out to be an amazing dinner that everyone enjoyed. Rather than choosing a set menu, everyone got to order what they wanted and the food was incredible as well as the price. Views could also NOT be outdone! The staff was so friendly and attentive, and catered to everyone's needs, even going as far as bringing a blanket to one of our guests who got chilled in the air conditioning. Thank you Iron Goat for making our wedding day an extra special one!

Amazing place to have our ceremony and reception! the upper balcony provided the most amazing background for our ceremony, and the inside décor is so beautiful, with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. The staff was amazing, so professional and friendly and helpful, the night of and during the planning process.
The food was absolutely amazing, we still have guests raving about the food.
We absolutely loved having our wedding here, would recommend to people who want the beautiful mountain wedding. Excellent experience!
