The venue needs works , dead trees, septic is leaking and it stinks, it could be beautiful again if the owner fixed it up
I get covid was hard money wise but leaking septic is not acceptable
The food was the only redeeming part

This review is pure bogus. She did not hire us to throw a wedding but merely rented my tent for a few hours and purchased some appetizers. No septic issue has ever been here. At any time. Crazy Cathy is delusional. Keep her away from your business. -

Our wedding at Generations was amazing. A few hiccups close to the wedding (a massive storm hit them pretty hard a few weeks before) but they were very quick and flexible to ensure that everything was ready for our big day. The setting at Generations is second to none. Our pictures turned out just perfect with the lake as our backdrop. Let's not forget about the food. We went for a non-traditional route for our dinner (Jerk chicken meal) and they delivered. Everyone was raving about the food. So happy that we chose Generations for our big day. It was perfect. -

Where to start? The venue exceeded our needs in every way. Everyone agreed that the food was fantastic. Every detail went exactly to plan and right on time. Rex was very attentive leading up to the wedding and incredibly hands on and helpful right up to the end. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and sweet. We are 100% happy with our experience and would highly recommend Generations Inn to our friends and family. -

We were married at the Generations Inn on August 10, 2019 (and have also been there for lunch and dinner multiple times).
Let me start this off by saying... we're snobs from Toronto who work in the film industry, so we have an incredibly high level of attention to detail. I know that seems silly to say, but I feel it's important knowing that to fully understand the level of care and service you receive in booking the Generations Inn. We have high standards, and really wanted to make sure that our wedding was as perfect and beautiful as possible.
My husband is Italian, so as you can imagine, the food was probably the most important part to us, and Generations did not disappoint. Everyone was stuffed to the gills (even the Italians!) and they could not stop raving about how delicious the food was and how great the portion sizes were. The Prime Rib was MASSIVE and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender (not the usual wedding rubber chicken) and the vegans in attendance were over the moon in receiving delicious dishes that weren't the usual run of the mill options.
The grounds of the Generations Inn are beautiful and picturesque, making it a lovely backdrop for photos. Sunset pictures on the lake are something out of a fairytale, and even the family formals which are often somewhat boring turned out incredible. This was another thing our guests couldn't stop raving about and many said that despite the 4 hour drive, they're hoping to rent the on-site cabins for family vacations next summer.
Rex and the Front of House team worked incredibly hard to make sure everything was set up just how we wanted it, and let me just say, that was no shortage of work considering we brought several car-loads of decor with us. The timing in which the courses were brought out was perfect. We were also very happy with how customizable the food options were given that there were several traditional Italian elements that we wanted to include. Everything went spectacularly.
Just as a side note, we had an outdoor wedding on the lake, the cocktail hour was located in the porch and our reception was in their new wedding tent. This turned out perfectly and everything flowed well. I loved the fact that we were able to have multiple sceneries and that provided even more backdrop potential for our photos. We loved that there was a stage big enough to accomodate our 6-piece band, and our guests definitely made use of the dance floor in the dance pavilion. It is was also helpful that everything was accessable for our elderly guests.
The team at the Generations Inn was amazing, and we could not be happier with how our day turned out. We can't wait to go back for dinner again. We definitely have new beautiful memories there that we look forward to reliving with every visit. -

Generations in Wedding Day September 21st, 2019
We had our wedding at Generations Inn on September 21st 2019. It was beyond a magical place to celebrate our special day. Not only is it a beautiful setting being on Mississippi Lake but you truly can make it your own day. We dealt with Rex the wedding venue manager and he was so helpful and flexible to let us create the vision we imagined for our wedding.
This venue is so picturesque it felt like a fairytale!
The venue has places for people to stay with trailers and a few cabins for people to rent and stay the night. This made it such a fun night for everyone!
If you envision having an outdoor wedding then this is a perfect place to celebrate your special day! -
